Bg_Paladin5 Posted June 16, 2007 Share Posted June 16, 2007 Serbs are a hated nation.You can see them as regular bad guys in movies(Ahem...Sniper 2),see a lot of bad stuff about them on BBC and CNN,Bush hates them...I know about Srebrenica,but it was only a revenge for what happened before that,and those people weren't murdered by Serbian army-they were murdered by mercenaries.Tell me what opinion do you have on Serbs.If you think bad about us,maybe these clips will help you change your mind,though don't watch them if you are very sensitive. The Serbian Army DID commit atrocities during the 90s, you can't lie about that. However, Serbs as a people didn't deserve the treatment they got following the war. the russians are the best! However, there were also many, many honourable Serbs who defended Sarajevo during the siege. Of course, it's not as simple as 'all Serbs are good' and 'all Serbs are bad'. I think they are many good Serbs and many bad, just as there are with any nationality. But that doesn't make me have any kind of prejudice against them. Sumpta Posted June 18, 2007 Share Posted June 18, 2007 I think we can all agree that the war has been very traumatic for all the parties involved, with gruesome atrocities on all sides of the conflict. It still makes most Europeans (who can remember) shudder to think of it and it's still a very delicate and dark episode in the history books of the UN. The fact that the conflict still isn't really resolved and keeps on brewing, doesn't help much either in gaining the trust of Europe and the rest of the world.
