H&A vs. Graveyard H&A

Recommended Posts

From what I have seen, quite a few people post questions related to pking/staking in the standard help and advice thread. I looked in the sticky at the top, and there was no point stating this. I believe a notice like "Questions relating to pking/staking belong in the graveyard H&A forum." is necessary, or even merging the two forums together.

The simplest way to add it is right here:

Help & Advice Guide

The Help & Advice forum is here for you to ask RuneScape-related questions and get advice from other users on things that can't be found in the available guides, announcements and sticky threads.

1. For forum-related questions, read the following:

* Forum User Guide

* Tip.It FAQ

* Tip.It Forum Guide - Important Posting FAQs

* Tip.It Forum Rules

2. For real-life advice, visit the Off-Topic forum.

3. For technical questions, visit the Tech and Computers forum.

4. For pking/staking help, visit the Graveyard Help and Advice forum

I didn't even think about merging Graveyard H/A with regular H/A. I was thinking about merging Graveyard with Graveyard H/A but not the regular question board. Hmmm...

Maybe merge Graveyard H/A with Graveyard and just let people post questions where they like? Graveyard attracts a different audience than regular H/A - if people feel the need to contact the normal Graveyard viewers, they can post on the Graveyard board. If they don't KNOW about Graveyard and want other posters, they can just post in Help/Advice. Not the neatest way but it doesn't force people to post somewhere if they are targeting a certain audience.

This is why my guide is being made-.-. For no one will ask questions on pking again.

Anyways, I'd merge Graveyard with Graveyard H&A, tip it is more of a skillers/mains community, then pking. They'd probably be a bit more active. ^^

Then the galleries and videos that people post in Graveyard would be buried beneath the mountain of help topics that would sprout up.

The forum should be left as it is. Typically, you'll receive different advice from either forum. It's, therefore, the choice of the user where they want to post. Moreover, it is not an inconvenience to moderate or a drain on forum resources. It simply does not need to be changed.

Offline and unavailable.

I agree. I think if they were in one forum, it'd just be too hectic. I think this is better for organizational purposes and for the users. If we allow them to post "wherever," I doubt they'd get the best answer possible. If we don't have a Graveyard Help & Advice, their first reaction would probably be to post it in Help & Advice. And since we moderators would no longer be obligated to move it, it would stay there. But I'll bet that the people qualified to help them would still be lingering in the Graveyard rather than looking to help people in Help & Advice :wall:
