First let me say I did search, and 510 results came back. If there is a topic about this out there and relatively new(1 or 2 months, not made 3 years ago) if you can give me the link and report this that would be a big help. Thanks

 

 

 

 

 

The Idea:

 

How many times have you been typing out something only to have to repeat the last 5 or 6 words because only one line can be used up. Rather then confining players it should possibly allow one roll over(continues down one line) preferabally two but one is good enough. I am not a developer so I don't know how hard this would be to implement into the current system, but adding a roll down doesn't seem terribly difficult.

Edited out the swear word filter option, too much pain to make work and it would have to revise the rules therefore causing my suggestion illegal.

hmm i dunno about the swearing, even with a tab people would abuse it so much shouting profanities, forget noob well now have **** etc but think, it wont be blocked, noob is essentially a replacement for swear words, like pillock or muppet, the words you use when you want to swear but you can't. as for the roll-over, if it was easy to implement, yes it would be awesome idea, it's annoying as hell when it happens, an idea i've just had was maybe when you type and come to the end of the line it rolls over and then when you press enter it comes up as like 2 lines of text, so itd appear like:

 

This when you were typing it into the chatbox

 

at the bottom of the screen and then

I support the chat idea but not the swear idea. I think that it might cause some problems. Like can you report people for using swares that would normally be blocked out and would be unreportable but they're not blocked out on yours.

about the chat filter thing, you can set it on and off? then there would be massive amounts of swear words and then ppl would stop playing, thats the last thing Jagex would want

It would be a toggle thing. I find word blockers limit my gaming, especially when you say one thing only to have part of it blocked because it is used in a certain context.
