200M Experience In A Skill - The New 99?

let's say you want 200m exp, if you get 500k exp a day it will still take a year to achieve this.

 

 

 

I don't think any normal player will ever try to achieve this.

This coming from someone who is almost maxed out in their stats already. Don't get me wrong, congrats on this, it's awesome, but if not to reach the 200M xp mark, why keep playing?

 

CW gold armour, all the trouble brewing clothes, getting all treasure trail outfits, getting a fire cape, etc etc theres always things to do and who's to say I'll get all 99's I just play to play and whatever stats come they come. I don't rush to get 99's I get them as I play.

 

 

 

If you look at the ones Trix has left, they're among some of the hardest to level in the game

Herblore and farming aren't hard just expensive...RC isn't even hard anymore with world 36...slayer is the hardest one left and crafting can be done in a week.

I think 200m is just taking it too far to be honest. I've been playing for 6 years, probably an average of about 2 hours per night over that time, yet ALL of my skills combined don't quite reach 200m.

 

 

 

I just don't see the point, nor will I ever achieve that lol

I just wonder what skill people will get to 200m xp once they have done all the easy ones (Fletching, Cooking, etc..)?

Well I think the game won't last long enough to have 200M xp as a goal but i do see some people try for it most fail at like 30M Xp.

 

 

 

But some skills like fletching and cookign you can get 200M in very easily

It's basically a statistical way of saying "I play this game way too much"

 

especially for the ones who have mutiple 99s with way over the 13 mil xp mark

Just because you play a game too much doesn't make it not an achievement. Does the chess champion of the world(if it exists) not have an achievement because chess is viewed as nerdy and because he obviously plays too much?

 

 

 

And about your second point, if you really enjoy a 99 skill you have, it makes more sense to train it and have fun rather than train another skill you don't like as much.

Before I talk, I must say that this is an excellent topic. It is conspicuously something that is worthy of being discussed and thought about. I like that it is not so shallow like "What is Your Favorite _____".

 

 

 

Anyway, 200M actually does seem like the next 99. Honestly, I believe that getting 99 is losing genuine feeling of being one of the few. It is no longer the peak were you can shine in the resonating light of your achievement. You will end up blending in. In this way, its basically the beginning of the mountain. 200M is an absolute peak that you can proceed no longer in. Many players just arent satisfied with 99, they obviously feel that they havent finished.

I'd say about 25m would really be the 99 atm, i don't think people have progressed though runescape far enough for 200m xp to be the new 99 yet/
