Oblivion: The Eldar Scrolls

I absolutely love Oblivion. The Dark Brotherhood quests are my favorite. :D

Anyway, I did something quite simple to level myself up. I got my Conjuration up to 100 in a matter of days. :P You just go somewhere where no one will interfere (like walk in front of you or something) and summon a skeleton (as you get a higher Conjuration level, you can summon more powerful things) and fight it. :P That way, you level Conjuration and your combat skills. Makes for faster leveling.

Conjuration was one of my favorite skills on Oblivion because if you learned to summon a Clannfear, all your problems were solved. That's how I became Arena champion. I'd walk out, summon the Clannfear and it let do the rest of the work while I watched the ensuing hilarity. Seriously, they're tough little critters.

So you have an evil side to you as well, eh kayla?

The dark brotherhood quest line was, IMO, better than the main questline almost in the game. I don't think I've ever had as much fun in a game as when I was doing that quest line.

Thanks for all your posts guys.

Im a thief, and I have found Armand who lets me join the thieves guild, but I find the house where the diary is, and I also havn't got any lockpicks. Has anyone got anyt tips for me?

Thanks!

Ther is this one quest that gives you a unbreakable lock pick. Its really easy and takes like 20 minutes to do. I can't remmember the quest name but i'll look it up to see and then get back to ya.

I have two questions please:

1. In the fight arena, how big is it? (I mean like the amount of people there watching)

2. Is being a magician good?

1. I don't know if there are any people in the stands. I never really paid attention to anything except the enemy.

2. Play whatever kind of character you want to, if you choose something you don't want to do you won't have as much fun. If you find your choice is too hard, you can turn down the difficulty meter. The game can be as hard or as easy as you want, it is completely up to you.

Just play the game lag. its like you just completely disregarded what indy just said.

It's really the best advice to give about the game. There's no reason not to play exactly how you want, if you think the game is structured against the way you want to play you can easily change it.

Yeah, I mean I had the chance to deck myself out in heavy armour and be a melee badass, but I wanted to go the Asha'man route and wear my black and burgundy outfit while swinging a katana and throwing fire all over the place.

Your character's whatever you want it to be.

Recently, I've taken to running around without any clothes on and trying to raise my unarmed skill against bandits.

Nothing says "owned" quite like being punched to death by an angry naked man.

I'm a master in hand to hand, all raised in the legit fashion - beating minotors to death in the arena :P And blocking with your bare arms is almost amusing  With what they get hit with, my characters arms should've been shattered on the first blow from one of those guys :XD:

Since you're on the subject of the arena you know that kid that runs up to you after you win? Well on one of my guys I was doing the arena with the kid runs up and starts asking me if he could follow me around.

I told him "sure, why not" and walked around casually to the back of the arena.

His flesh met my sword shortly after. After the deed was done I casually walked out, not a single guard seeing.

I prefer giving him poison apples then telling him to "wait here" in front of the guards.

Gotta love it when someone drops down dead for no reason and they just stand there looking around :D

I like to take him into dungeons with me. He lights my way and keeps me company. ::'

Adoring Fan. A lot of people take him up to Dive Rock and push him off. He actually levels with you, so if you are into taking characters along on your quests he's not too shabby. I always fly solo though, I think I left him on a road out side of the Imperial City somewhere.

Other magicians get a taste of an arrow laced with Silence poison. =)

Quick question, probably stupid: I haven't quite figured out how to poison food yet. Anyone care to illuminate me on this?

Arrows of Silence are the only way to go against any magician enemy. The worst are conjurers, if you don't silence them right away you are [cabbage] out of luck. Also, I don't know how to poison food. I am pretty sure only poison apples exist, I don't think any other food can be poisoned. I don't know how to make it, you may not be able too. Might just be something you find/buy. I never have used one before so I am not sure.

@lagnivator

You don't join them, they are just classifications for spells. Whatever college the spell you are casting is in will be determined by that skill, and will increase that skill. You can do as many or as few as you want. Each city's Mage's Guild has one of them as their specialty, which just means there are trainers and spell sellers for that particular college.

That's correct - if you want to kill someone with food, poison apple is your only option, unless the latest expansions gave you the ability to poison your own, but why bother when the poison apple is so abundant :D
