i agree

whoever said he was an RS char? and besides, ever heard of small shields, they're probably as good as large kite shields when in combat, cause they are much more easy to use quickly...not as good against arrows, ofcourse, but in melee...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

anyway, i don't really like the guide, not for a neeb, but it works for you. i think it'd be easier to work with shapes like cirkels and triangels...but maybe that's just me.

Why bother to do all these stages? When you could just do the final drawing after the sketch.

1) Why draw in the muscles if you were going to cover it with a sheet of scales?

I think that the sheild was to small, so im going to make it bigger. now about the whole left hand right hand thing. all i got to do is flip the pic.

Drawing in his muscles was pretty pointless as the end product doesn't conform to them at all.

i know it seamed pointless but i start off every drawing that way.

Those are some good steps, but that guide is missing about 10 steps before the first pic, there's no way a newcomer to pixel art could draw your first step with no previous drawing or pixeling experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The linework is very good, maybe make the hands slightly bigger? The shading seems a bit lost. Shade each leg individually instead of both as a single lighted lobject, because the separate between them looks more like a void than normal space. On the shoulders, the shading seems inverted, a bit confusing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Overall, the pics are very good, but maybe not the best for a newcomer (which I don't think deserve to be called noobs, as everyone starts without any skills). :)
