Diesel
Last week I went downstairs in my basement to play my Wii like I do all the time. To my utter horror it wouldn't turn on! Upon further inspection I noticed that the light wasn't even on. I checked to see if everything was plugged in correctly and it was. I had a problem. My first guess was that the A/C cord had shorted, so I called Nintendo and they shipped a new cord free of charge since I was under warrenty. I thought my troubles were solved. It wasn't. I plugged it in and there still wasn't any sign of life from my beautiful Wii  If anyone has any ideas to what is wrong or what I can do please help. Or if this has happened to anyone else... Macmaster92
Did you recently have a power surge? Or do you have siblings that could have dropped it? If not i reccommend returning it and getting a new one. That is if you don't have any important stuff saved on it. :uhh:
sephiroth_king
Maybe your A/C outlet itself doesn't work, that happens alot. Or power surges can do that as well. I personally might think it's your outlet plug, try plugging it into the bottom outlet (If you have a bottom/top outlet plug in) try plugging it into that, or if it's plugged into the bottom go vice-versa. Hoping to get a new Signature (with matching avatar) soon. :D In the meantime...Steam username: )I'll rewrite it later (add me if you want)
Ginger_Warrior
Do you live in the UK? Is so, then go their Nintendo of Eruope website, and contact the warehouse by email or by phone. They will usually take it in, free of charge, and will replace it for a knocked down price. My DS smashed after it fell off my high bed. It was obviously irreparable, but they offered to replace it for just ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã32, which I thought was really good, considering that's less than a third of its original price. EDIT: I just saw your location. I would presume Nintendo of America (I think they serve you) would operate a similar policy. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
Diesel
I tried different plugs and I also took it to my friends house just in case. We haven't had any power surges that I know of. My computer is working fine and it's located near my Wii...oh and no I didn't drop it. I'll probably do what I did before when I asked for a new A/C cord. Thanks for the help everybody. =D> =D> Last.Fm My Bloggy Proud to have served on Tip.it Crew

fakeitormakeit
Ya, usually this happens if the console is dropped or suring power surges, when gamecube was "all that" I had to get a new one because they were rebuilding an area around a country club by my house and they did alot of blasting and electrcity surged alot during the construction. My gamecube was fried.

Diesel
....sigh....it happened again. Different problem this time though. I was trying to beat Zelda again since my memory was deleted and everything went black after the main menu. I tried to turn off the Wii using my Wiimote, but it didn't respond. I then tried to press the button itself, but it STILL wouldn't respond. I had to unplug it totally to turn it off. I was freaking out by this moment. I plugged it back it, put in Wii Play, thinking that it was just a one-time thing, but it wasn't. Same thing happened for it too. I really don't know how to feel about it. I'm pissed off, of course, because I will probably have to send it back again. Well, maybe I will ask them to replace the whole thing because I'm sick and tired of this one being faulty. Is that too much to ask?!? Another long Wii-less road seems to stand ahead of me... Last.Fm My Bloggy Proud to have served on Tip.it Crew
fakeitormakeit
You should probably check out your outlet, if it keeps reoccuring the fault might be in your outlet and thats what is damaging your Wii, but don't touch your outlet unless you shut off the power and know what your doing. Diesel
Just an update for those who (once again) wondered what happened to my little problem. I called Nintendo again and they decided to just give me a new Wii. So now I'm waiting for the new one to ship to my house. When I get it, I have to ship my old one back. It's not like I get to keep it lol... Should get it by Monday. Last.Fm My Bloggy Proud to have served on Tip.it Crew
