July 11, 200718 yr :D I was wondering how I could get thorugh the monkey madness and lost city quest without getting any defence/hp/prayer/xp. I've heard that you can chose rewards but i'm not sure about that. Also I'm curious about which quests would give me attack and strength xp :D thanks in advance!
July 11, 200718 yr Lost city doesnt give any exp in those I don't think. And to not get the exp from monkey madness jsut don't go back to daero after killing the demon.
July 11, 200718 yr It's extremely difficult, because you have to kill quite a few monsters along the way. However, with a lot of friends, food, and rings of recoil, it's possible.
July 12, 200718 yr Author :P Is it possible to do the monkey madness quest and get rewards in only the skills i want? Ie only attack and strenght?!? Also if i don't go back to daero will i still be able to wield the dragon scimitar?
July 12, 200718 yr From the quest guide "Approach Daero to train you in Attack/Defense and Strength/Hitpoints (35,000 exp each for the skills you choose, and 20,000 exp each for the others)". So you do get defense experience to finish the quest.

So you do get defense experience to finish the quest. As was said earlier, you'll get exp in 0, or all 4. You can finish the quest (and be able to buy a scimitar) before talking to that person. And you don't have to ever talk to that person if you don't want to.

July 12, 200718 yr Quite simply, you can avoid getting experience in all 4 skills, but it's an all or none deal. Also, you can complete the quest with 1 prayer quite easily. Most of my friends have done it with their pures, without getting any defence or prayer experience, keeping lvl 1. July 12, 200718 yr Just don't talk to Daero If you dont want def xp! Also you'll need prayer for the last battle because if you don't have prayer and high hp he hits 20's and 30's alot! There is a "square obstacle" in the middle of the room where the demon is. When I fought him, I just ran until he got caught on one of the edges of the square. Once he was caught, I ranged him to death with my crystal bow. I don't remember getting hit once.
July 12, 200718 yr You won't get the experience for monkey madness if you don't want it. I searched YouTube for some videos... Monkey madness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZScs4fbh_qQ Both are videos that show how to kill the demon. The second link is a pure with combat 42 finishing it. So it's possible to do it at real low levels and I don't think he has prayer... And for killing the demon you just let the gnomes attack him till he's at low hitpoints. Then you must deal the final blow, else you haven't finished the quest. I couldn't find a video that shows the whole walkthrough but there are some, and Tip It has a good quest guide too. Just take enough to kill the spirit and some zombies because you'll need a axe to cut branches from the dramen tree. This one is pretty hard. I don't if you want to get 35 agility which is required for the quest. And also the pages for completing the book are quite expensive. So the decision up to you.
