July 17, 200718 yr Could somebody tell me the approximate time (in seconds) cooks, butlers and demon butlers take to go to the: 1. bank, unnote your planks, and bring it back to you. 2. sawmill, turn into plank and bring it back. Also, is it possible for me in my house with noted oak logs to tell my servant to turn my unnoted oaks into oak planks and bring it back?
July 17, 200718 yr I can't give you the approximate time in seconds, but I can compare it with times building and destroying oak larders. Cook = enough time to make and destroy 3 larders Butler(I recommend this one) = enough time to make and destroy 2 larders Demon = enough time to make and destory 1 larder And no, sadly, you can't give your servant noted things and make him plank them all in one trip. They must be done in 2 trips; unnote, and then plank. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

OK, so basically the only way to switch large numbers of logs into planks is to run it yourself (too costy to let your servant do all the work)?
July 17, 200718 yr If I remember correctly... Cooks - 15 seconds Butlers - 10 seconds Demon - 5 seconds Check out Tip.It's Construction guide, in the 'Skill Guide' section on the main page. I am sure it has the correct times. These are probably correct, but double checking would be fine. :) Also, you could have a house in Rimmington, take your logs noted, sell to the General Store, buy back (unnoted), give to bulter, repeat. It is a little bit hectic though.. PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape

Thank you, I may try this. I upgraded to a butler now and will be sticking with him. So if I give him my oaks to turn them into planks will it take 10 seconds for him to come back like you specified? Also, I would have to pay him 250 ea oak log to turn into planks right?
July 17, 200718 yr can i order the servant to take the oak log from the bank and go to the sawmill directly?
July 18, 200718 yr Author can i order the servant to take the oak log from the bank and go to the sawmill directly? read the second post. So what's the recommended way to turn my oak logs into planks? Do it myself? :(

July 18, 200718 yr I used the balloons to get the planks myself. Start at CW, take one log to pay for your trip to varrock (forgot the type but think it was willow), take a lot of cash (to pay the sawmill), take as much oak logs you can while staying under the weight limit (with cape and boots i think i was able to take 23), fill the rest with rings of duelling, run to the balloon outside CW, fly to varrock, buy you planks and tele back to CW. You will burn through your duelling rings but it beats the *** out of running between the sawmill and varrock bank.

Oh well, I'll just run it..
July 18, 200718 yr you can also cut the oak outside your house, then have your butler turn them into planks... [hide=Siggy credits]The Awesome, Epic, Amazing, S3xah A-10 Sig By Unolexi! Alternatively, you could take an axe and chop the rest of your oak inventory there, buy planks w/ enough money to have one open space after purchase, and then chop a yew log to fly back to castle wars. Its a bit slower, but you get more bang for your buck.
