Haha. I think its because, as stated earlier, they have no attack or Strength. Or maybe 'cause Jagex was drunk when they created Barrows. :-k

Have you ever seen the mage pures with the lower lvls?

 

They're like them except they have a higher magic or range lvl because they do not Melee.

 

That should help... I think

Melee = Combat levels

 

 

 

Range+Magic = at a certain point don't give combat level

 

 

 

I guess it works for monsters same as players

 

 

 

great example: troll king. level 122 has ice barrage(or is it burst?) and kicks my [wagon] yet i can easily beat black demons which are 50 levels higher. i still haven't beaten the troll king for fremenick isles, tried it 3 times. oh well, i'll just wait till i have the cash for a whip.

Yeah, combat system. You don't see level 115s with high range/mage and barely any other combat stats.

According to Tip.it calc, someone with 99 attack, strength, defence, and hitpoints, with 1 prayer, would be 113 combat (I don't think barrows bros have prayer).

 

 

 

With 99 Mage, Hitpoints, and Defence, and 1 attack, strength, prayer (again, no prayer for them), they'd be 97 combat.

 

 

 

That's pretty close to their current levels.
