Matok
Yesterday i had to go through one of my least favorite aspect of the game, merchandizing. Ye, i hate it since it forces me to put my chat on public and deal with some anxious buyers from the wild RSOF world which means a lots of headaches especially for someone who usually speak with NPCs(Duradel) more then he speak to other players... Anyway, i had a small rune boots pile i wanted to get rid of so, i write a post in the RSOF,take an aspirin, wash it down with a tradional russion drink  and head to Port Phasmatys to make some C Balls while taking orders. After few minutes orders starts coming in but something strange suddenly happened: Out of 10 pm's i had, 6 didnt know where i want them to meet me ("Port what?where the hell is that??") 2 couldnt come ("sorry, didnt do priest in Peril") 1 didnt want to come and only 1 "dared" to take the challange and meet me outside the energy barier because, yes,he didnt do the quest (gave him 10k back, reward for the long walk). After i finished making balls i pm those guys and tell them to meet me at varroc west bank to complete the transaction.I meet them there. Those 5 buyers had a combat level of 75-90. Now, i cant say i was realy surprised, i did notice it before but i always thought its a sort of one-time-case. But combined with several other incidents i had ,it starts to look as a phenomena. It seems that there are a lot of players out there that their RS game knowledge/experience doesnt match their combat level. Ok, before you start flaming,i know, there is no strict game plan of which each player has to follow, RS can be played in many diffrent ways and there are a lot of players who restrict themselves to certain game aspects while neglecting others. There is no road map you have to follow which ends up at being level 126 and having all the the RS world explored. Players can stick to the combat aspect of the game and its totaly fine. Nevertheless, i would expect someone who play this game for few months or more to have some idea of what each area on the RS map has to offer. in other words: noone say that at combat level 90 you should be able to smelt in Port Phasmatys but you should know where the hell is it.. Now,as said, I am not the mingling type ,and I guess that for those of you who hang more in crowded areas this won't be striking as shocking news, but, oh..well... So,What do you think? is it, or is it not a new phenomena? Is it part of what was recently discussed as the "degrading community" or it's mere accidents?
