You may only bump a clan recruitment thread a maximum of twice a day. These bumps should be about 8-12 hours apart. This will help to keep your clan recruitment thread on the first or second page

 

 

 

I think we should be allowed to bump our topic 3 or 4 times a day,

 

because when they merged the 89+ recruitment sub forum, and and the 3-88 recruitment forum it now has a lot more threads that are active

glancing right now, 33topics have been bumped in 24 hours.

 

 

 

Thats not the entire first page at all.

 

 

 

So I still think bumping every 12hours would keep you on the first page...and if you have a clan, I'm pretty sure the co-leader and yourself can bump the topic every 12 hours very easily.

 

 

 

Though I don't think it would hurt to raise it to 3, though the reason why only 33topics have been bumped in 24 hours may be because of the 2 bumps per day...

To be fair I believe that rule has been in place since before the recruitment board was separated into 3 divisions. Don't quote me on that, it's just I don't recall it having been changed.

 

 

 

I think this is a very valid thing to bring up though. If the traffic has increased enough to warrant it then it should be no problem to adjust it to say 3 times in 24 hours or maybe 5 times in 48 hours, however. Let's see what others have to say on the matter to see what the general opinion is.

The old rule was 1 bump per day with the 2 sub forums

Those rules were written about 8 months ago, when things were a bit different. The rules should be changed soon. Three or four bumps sounds fair; action should only be taken against excessive bumping in my opinion.

Yeah, if my thread is like near the top of the first page and I am allowed to bump it I'd just leave it.

Which I tried to explain in my previous post. Its not needed to raise it, if in 24 hours the same topics are still on the first page. Anymore is most likely spam bumps.

Pretty much what I was going to say. I do think that this is a rule that we should look into once in a while and consider changing when necessary. But as long as there are threads that are 12+ hours old on the front page, I don't think a change is in order. Maybe if/when the clan section of our forums becomes more popular we can consider revisiting this idea.

 

 

 

And for the record, the 2 bumps a day rule was in place before the forum was split into three sections.
