I played the "real" runescape from 2001 to 2004, but sadly I never reached my goal of 100 cb :( . I was a 79 combat rune pure and I remember hating those prayer beasts lol. I have alot of respect for a good handful I met, but I just remember walking around the castle and seeing like 20 lvl 40-50 pb's fighting each other and talking alot of [cabbage].

 

 

 

The most fun about pking for me was the surpise of catching someone. I was pretty good at catching at the time, but everytime I chased someone I still ALWAYS remember feeling my heart thumping like I was nervous or something...in a good way.....and everytime I caught them I just felt a rush of excitement and had glad that I got 3 rounds of combat with them.

 

 

 

I quit rsc in 2004 and unfortunatley I cant log onto my account anymore. I started an account on rs2 and its pretty noobish because I really dont care too much anymore. Ill admit that the graphics and overall gameplay is really fun, but too be honest I would love to play the original again. RS2 is just too big and too confusing. There are so many people and its just too easy to train, yet I dont take advantage of this because Im apathetic towards this "new" game.

 

 

 

The thing that I love the most about rsc was the modest size of the community (that mattered) because I could walk out to the wilderness and recognize someone that I had fought or trained with before.

 

 

 

 

 

As much as I love rsc if Jagex brought the game back it really wouldnt be as much fun as you would think. A massive proportion of the original players wouldnt be there, so whats the fun in that? plus I just have a feeling that everyone who signed up (or logged in from old account) would just want to pk. Theres always exceptions, but youve got to have diversity and the original game (2001-2004/5?) had all of that.

I still remeber when i got my fishing from 1 to 65 in one night. Nostalgia month would be soooooooo great...

I can remember that like it was just yesterday. In wildy there was no better feeling than chase someone till you can fight with him the glorious three rounds.

 

But times change, got to go now. Keep remembering RSC.

Autoers had disadvantages, but also advantages. If a person has a lot of rune sets, he/she won't run out but fight until death.

 

 

 

I'd say no to bringing back the free version for everyone, but maybe for the users who have logged in on RSC before the shutdown of f2p in 2004. Otherwise classic will be packed with RS2 nubs who say "wow the graphics suck! "

 

 

 

I agree. I had an RSC acc, but it was closed when I didn't go on it for 6 months when they closed f2p :cry: .

Again, haven't played in forever (since before p2p). I'd love it if RSC was open to new players on free servers again. Sure, there will be RS2 nubblies who sign up and whinge about graphics and alike, but nubbies whinge about everything anyway! But that said, it is fairly obvious that it won't be openned again ever to the poor f2p peoples amongst us. Money ftl :(

Many people can't even access their RSC account because Jagex deleted them :evil: . So there's no way they can bring them back with the same levels and so on, which is a pitty, because RSC training takes somewhat longer then RS2 :P .

 

 

 

I doubt that there would be that many people whining about re-opening RSC, most people that played it, will play it again for the memories, and new people might try it and feel the same thingly sensation that everyone felt when they played it 2+ years ago.

 

 

 

The first time you get caught is soo weird, I was like "he suddenly ran, I didn't know you could run in RSC?!", then someone explained it to me, tried for ages, never got the hang of it :cry:

I haven't ever played RSC...

 

They should let us all on. If the miniclip noobs think the graphics suck then let them play RS2! RSC is for the hardcore runescapers. \

bring it back. ppl would love to start over again. private servers showed that more than 2k ppl would play again ...and private servers also showed how to handle the autoers - with just a lil attention for your players. jagex should either re-open rsc registrations or remove it completetly so we can play on private servers... rsc is sooo dead ffs.
