where do you get spears from? particularly those above iron.

 

 

 

i need them for tai bwo wannai quest, so making them from barbarian training is out.

HobGoblins drop Steel, Dagannoths in the lighthouse drop Mith etc.

Your only chance is getting them by drops, buying from other players, making them with the barbarian training, or asking someone who has done the quest to buy one for you.

If you're doing that quest you need mith+. Use the bestiary to find what monsters drop. Just buy from anouther player and if you have the smithing you can make a mithril 2h spear.

find a monster that drops them, and start killing

i've checked a few guides and its stated that only an iron or better spear is needed..

i got my mith spear from going down to the lighthouse dungeon and grabbing one off the ground from a guy cannoning daganoths

Moss Giants drop mithril spears quite often.

 

Fire Giants drop rune spears.

Any monster that drops rune spears is very rare. I've got 2 left half shields from fire giants and no rune spear yet. :P

 

 

 

But I would try and make one the barbarian way, much faster.

Only an iron spear is really needed.

 

 

 

Try to get one from hobgoblins. They drop them fairly often.
