A Level A Day (70/70/70 Combat)

Recommended Posts

Just been doing Slayer since my last post. Bloodvelds went very slowly but at least totalled up the exp. On to Ice Giants now which are going a lot quicker, but I only get to play for a few minutes at a time, so I'm constantly having to deal with aggressive Ice Warriors

Another four level day! Putting the effort into Slayer seems to be really paying off for combat stat training. The monsters seem to be paying for themselves too. Got plenty of alchable drops from a Pyrefiends task, plus a clue scroll (Guthix Page). Got another clue scroll from a Molanisk task (studded chaps g). I'm hanging on to the rewards for now until the GE settles down, which is playing havock with my bank space. I've had to throw out my tree root collection to make space!

A few days since my last update and a few more levels to report. Two herblore levels from my MTK herbs. I'm not selling my pots at the moment as the prices are so low.... if they don't go back up I'll just use them myself. Have been making harralander and tarromin tar (which I have been trying unsuccessfully to sell on GE). Started off collecting tar from Lunar Diplomacy ship, but was so boring, so killed a few cave slimes instead... may have to hunt me a lizard and use these tars for combat if they don't sell.

Also levelled up some prayer with a combination of dragon bones and ogre bones. Got PKed again at green dragons, so spent quite a lot of time at zombie ogres, but rate of the rare bone drops is so slow... I've decided it would be faster to balloon craft some laws and teletab them for profit and just buy the bones. Looks like you can't DIY everything.

Have been trying to level Slayer today, but its going a bit slow. On a troll mission all day. Have got a black mask, and been using strength and attack pots to speed it along. No Slayer level, but a Defence and a HP level. I'm thinking 60 Slayer may take longer than I thought.

On a side note, have finally sold my Harralander tar for about 350k. Not bad for an hours work! Never really thought it would sell. Might make some more once I've got my 60s, unless of course I get Cave Slimes as a slayer mission.

Basilisks for todays Slayer task. Underestimated how slow they are to kill, I think super strength and attacks instead of regular pots would have helped. Took too much food as well, they don't hit very often. Got myself 56 Slayer & 64 Defence in the process, and a few mith, addy and rune drops to alch but still no head for my house.

Next task was turoths which Axe Man Jack's guide advised me to skip, which I did... and got desert lizards *sigh*. Was thinking about levelling thieving at Pyramid Plunder so might kill two birds with one stone (plus I could then use Tears Of Guthix to boost Slayer). Better not get too distracted from Slayer though I've still got 80-90k exp to get by next month. Hope I should be able to do it, 4.5k exp/d average doesn't sound so bad.

Slayer at Desert Lizards went surprisingly quickly. Onto Pyramid Plunder for my Thieving levels. That's as good exp as its rumoured to be - I reckon 42k exp/h at my level. One downer, got a Pharaoh's sceptre but had a full inv. Get chucked straight out of the Pyramid - run back to the room just in time to see the red dot disappear. Oh well, probably won't see another one of them...

Anyways, a quick Prayer level, so I could put Tears of Guthix towards Slayer, and then onto next assignment. Lesser Demons. Headed to Karamja and start slaying. Those guys are mean droppers. Should get me another Slayer level tomorrow though.

Finished up at the lessers and then onto Chaeldar for my next task - bloodvelds. Not too exciting but it certainly sped up the exp rate. Two ranged levels, a HP level, and 58 Slayer. Only two to go!

Have run out of ammo, and there were no mith bolts for sale on the GE, so off to make some in Keldagrim. Will do Giant Dwarf quest while I'm at it so I can get a good gravestone (I think 4 minutes should be enough... no need to spend 500k on it).

Finished The Giant Dwarf and got enough FM exp to level. Got myself a Saradomin gravestone. Now I just need to make sure I don't die more than 4 minutes from Falador!

Blast furnaced 1200 mithril bolts so ready to get back to Slayer. Just need to pick up my MTK rewards this afternoon, then its full time Slayer untill 60.

Started today on a treasure trail from yesterday's banshee task. Black full helm and hatchet? Classy. Next task - back to lessers. Half thought of burthorping it but gave meleeing them a go. Glad I did - great exp. Got 66 Defence and a couple of rune meds from only an inv and a half of monks. This was with black mask and potting up though!

A quick wall beast task, and then we'll see what tomorrow brings... hopefully 59 Slayer.

A few days without an update...

59 Slayer took a bit longer than I expected as I've been plagued with disappointing treasure trails... best thing I've had from three has been an addy plate (although I think the black full helm looks quite smart too).

Decided today to level Prayer and Thieving above Slayer so I could use Tears of Guthix towards that. So I spent the morning using dragon bones at my gilded altar, and then three quarters of an hour at Pyramid Plunder. Then went to collect from Juna.... but had forgotten Firemaking. Oh well, has probably saved a few maples!

I've done a lttle bit of herblore with the seconds I already had in the bank, and now I'm back to Slayer. Luckily a big Cockatrice task at the moment, so plenty of limps for herby. And maybe a head (it is Christmas Jagex?)

Finally got a new slayer head for my house. The cockatrices came up trumps. Slayer has been provding quite a lot of clues which is distracting without providing anything of much use...

Most recently got a good Fire Giant task, that has got me to within 6k of my level 60. Unfortunately on my last run couldn't quite finish the task (2 short), so now I'm left with having to run into the dungeon to kill just two - frustrating. Might complete Waterfall dungeon quest to give me the motivation...

For a change have been killing cave slimes (for swamp tar for herby - takes forever to sell but good money when it goes). Finally got a good treasure trail reward, a sara page.

70 Smithing today. 7.5k mith bolts made at the blast furnace. I reckon I can do about 30k exp/h on W58. The bolts sold instantly at max price, so they're worth making more of. Tried to get my slayer level today, but got wall beasts and then blue drags...

Had 20 minutes so grabbed 60 Thieving. Was having rough time at Pyramid Plunder (lots of fails) so glad to be done for a while. Now I can move my house to Yanille, do the Watchtower quest and get stuck in to the blue dragons in the Ogre Enclave....

But first, I've got three hundred or so maple logs to torch and then a bit of herby to finish off (either super energies or attacks).

I got my two Firemaking levels last night at the Grand Exchange (whilst bouncing Daisy on my knee). There were so many fires there it looked like the place was being torched.

60 Herblore first up today with two quick trips to Mort Myre for super energies. Then to Yanille to do the Watchtower quest... and twenty or so blue dragons later, 60 Slayer, the last of my 60s.

I'm now going for a runecrafting level, and will then get a Magic level (or two) and some money making teletabs.

I've spent the last three days crafting laws, half an hour here and there.... Got the level eventually. Now have 3200 laws to craft into teletabs. Should get me to level 70 but will take me ~4hrs. I'm going to alternate with smithing - will see how much profit I can make smelting addy bars at the blast furnace.

Got stuck into the teletabs this morning... with no distractions found I could get up to 800/h. Cammy teletabs seem to have stabilised, sold quickly at average price on GE. So that's 44k Magic exp/h and 280k profit/h. That'll do nicely!

I'm going to switch to Ardy tabs for my next batch - same profit but slightly higher experience rate. Meanwhile have bought 500 addy ores. I've heard a rumour you can process that many an hour at the blast furnace... that would make 400k and 20k smithing exp. I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow

Have been busy at the teletabs getting 69 Magic this morning. Have been doing a daily farming round as well so got 70 Farming yesterday, and should get 71 tomorrow. I'm still trying to get my Magic up, but the teletabs are starting to get boring.... and the money accumulating in my bank is getting tempting... but what to spend it on? Smithing, construction, prayer or herblore...
