ROBOSRUS
How many green dragons can I kill per hour at 98 cmbt meleeing?
nerdattack16
Not very many, unless you can fight off PKers and avoid autoers. They are everywhere these days... :( Without banking, at least 100 an hour, I'd say. At level 88 I can kill a green dragon in about 50 seconds or less. With banking... not so many. Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
geesch
i am lvl 101 and when i was about your lvl, with super atk and str pots (it is definitely worth the spots) i can kill a grn drag in 3-5 shots almost every time. so every minute, provided you get your own drag, you can kill 6 drags roughly. 6 dragons*60 minutes in an hour=360 less banking time. banking should take about a minute. say you have 24 inv spots (super atk, super str, home tele tab and some good drop you get, just to make hides and bones even) it will take 2 minutes to fill your inventory and 1 minute to bank, so 3 mins a trip to kill 12 drags. according to those relatively rough calculations, you could kill about 240 dragons in an hour. give this number some leeway, so you might kill 220 instead of 240. now lets hope this is right  good luck with your green dragon killing. No offense, but these numbers are completely unrealistic. There is respawn time to take into account, and competition for the dragons. And you cannot kill green dragons in an average of 16 seconds, no way. It takes over a minute just to get to the dragons from a bank. I'm level 120 and I just tested.. it took me 7 minutes to kill 12 greens, and that's not including banking time. I'd say that a high level could probably average maybe 100 kills per hour if they were very lucky -- probably 60 to 80 would be more realistic. Edit: With only 1 dragon to kill (other 2 occupied) it took 8 minutes to kill 11. ~q Qeltar, aka Charles KozierokWebmaster, RuneScoop - Premium RuneScape Information for Expert Players -- Now Free!Featuring the Ultimate Guide to Dungeoneering -- everything you need to know to get the most of the new skill! Lenticular_J
I'm combat 83, and I kill around 50 an hour-But, I have extreme luck with pkers (For some reason most listen to me when I try and talk it out with them :P) and know my route very well. I'm also faster then those darned autoers. Good luck to you, maybe I'll see you some time on my journey to maxed combat stats at the greens  catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

qeltar
It seems like they kill faster than they do. :) The real problem is that it takes 2-3 minutes to bank and 1.5-2 minutes to run to where the dragons are... and that really slows things down, assuming you want to keep the hides and bones.. or even if you bury the bones and keep the hides. I just did a test, found a world where there was nobody at one of the green dragon spots (or 1 person) and I buried bones instead of banking. I was able to kill 20 in a total of 10.5 minutes. Add 2.5 minutes for banking and such... and you get about 92 per hour. If there are other people around it is a LOT slower... probably 60 or so an hour at best. Hope you are feeling better soon. :) ~q Qeltar, aka Charles KozierokWebmaster, RuneScoop - Premium RuneScape Information for Expert Players -- Now Free!Featuring the Ultimate Guide to Dungeoneering -- everything you need to know to get the most of the new skill! mchainmail
Couldn't you use a glory to tele back to edge, and just take 1 less protection item? Also, there is a method using some of the Ancient Magiks teleports that allows you to trim down the banking/returning times.

If you round up by just a little (not too far off) 5 or 6 times, you can really change your final outcome (from about 100 to 220 in this case). Can you really kill a dragon, pick up it's loot, and move on to the next dragon in 10-15 seconds? I think the fastest I could go, even superpotted, would be about every 30 seconds.
