Tbfgraphx14
Yes, yes we might have enough already, but I would like to see the creativity of some of these Tip.Iters :) There could be a contest, and whoever makes the best describing, funniest (or whatever you want to rate on) emoticon, would win the contest and have their new emoticon added into the list of emoticons on the posting page :) You could use a blank emoticon as below, and set of limit of maybe, 30 by 30 pixels and let the imaginations of the Tip.It users run wild as they add their very own creation of an emoticon :o I think this is a great idea for all of those smiley lovers out there Unless is this impossible? Can there be more added to the list? -Tbf :) Tbfgraphx14Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.
InkofDeath
I'm kind of so-so on this. There are enough smilies as I've said in a previous post about smiles, but then again a smiley contest is a very good Forum event, and would create community involvement which isn't bad as far as I know. But then again, adding one smiley wouldn't be too much. Though the admins/mods/super mods 8-) , have probably discussed this when they went and did the contest about captions. I'd love to see some of the creations the users make though. --- Some topics regarding smilies: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=687311 http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=669197&start=0 this one here is also a contest one http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=496896&start=0 Might find something in there to help you with this... tripsis
I would love to have a lot more contests and activities for users in general. I think a contest like this would be a lot of fun, but my concern is that we already have a ton of smilies :ohnoes: But yes, it would be a lot of fun to see what some of our very talented artists would come up with  - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
m1cha34l
We may have a lot of smiley, but I don't think we have a variety nececarily. eg, you can use : :D :)  and possibly :P O:) 8-) and  all to mean you are happy. I (ersonaly) thnk it is still worth it, just to pull the tif community together, and adding 1 more isn't exactly overdoing much. And if you want to boot a few, maybe the thumbs up/down, as far as I know I'm the only one that has ever used one of those.
Cruiser
We already have 49 smilies (51 if you count the thumb buttons on the 'view more' window). In those 51 you can express just about every emotion you could ever want to in a forum post. The contest is a good idea but we really don't need them at this point. :? There's also the fact the board will be moving to phpBB 3 in the future, which will most likely mean upgrading to the new redesigned smilies that match the new Pro Silver skin. There's also the fact the board will be moving to phpBB 3 in the future, which will most likely mean upgrading to the new redesigned smilies that match the new Pro Silver skin. You could possibly just have them in the view more emoticons section to not clutter up everything. That way it can be a compromise between the two reasonings. But of course you'd still have to consider your point about switching to PhpBB 3 in the not to distant future.
