Before you say 'another damn halo 3 fan raving thread' this isn't about me saying how much i love the game and how awesome its going to be. :D

 

 

 

I recently went to the official Halo 3 Website, http://www.halo3.com/ and found on the main screen these funny looking artifacts. I clicked in and after much frustration trying to figure out what to do(yes yes I know) I got it to work. It apparently fills in parts of the story about the Forerunners and the Flood.

 

 

 

Looks like Bungies putting in material beside the books and the previous games to fill in the story. Any thoughts? (or are you all just too annoyed to see yet another halo thread)

I'm pretty sure I had just as much frustration as you minus the working thingy :roll:

uh your supposed to rotate the object and find the symbols that glow when your mouse is on them. comes up with lots of small downloads. There are 5, I think, symbols on each artifact.

Uh...I don't get it. I click on one of the five things and all I get is a blank black page. Is it just not loading?

When the floating thing comes up on the screen, does the sound hurt anyone's ears? :?

[hide]basically Flood = some kind of galactic parasite led by a central conciousness that has to be contained. Forerunners = ancient race that created the HALO system of weapons to contain said Flood and prevent destruction - this system was seized on by the covenant as a "holy relic" mistakenly - Master chief must save the day. This is part of the Iris Arg, and it's (It look like it) over now. Each of those was a server that you had to unlock, and the first 100 people to unlock them got a ton of Halo 3 swag. Also it tells a whole lot more about the story than you think, I'm pretty sure I know most of the story now and what is so important about the ark (Even bigger than you think.)

I wasn't aware that the Covenant had occupied Earth. Maybe I just need to watch the cutscene at the last level again, but I don't recall that the main Covenant fleet actually left High Charity.
