actually it could help

 

 

 

row give 20% bonus for monsters to drop items not normally dropped, so in fact if you fight hellhounds then thats an xtra 20% chance of getting a clue since all they drop is bones

 

 

 

not clear 100% myself as how the ring wroks however so i could be wrong

Nope, the Ring Of Wealth increases the rate that monsters drop items with a higher alchemy value. Since clues alc for 0gp, it might be reduced.

The ring of wealth does not positively affect anything about clues.

From lots and lots of experience, wealths help clues from hellhounds (hence its the only thing it drops...)I used to collect clue scrolls for cash. I could clearly tell a wealth helped get more clues. With a wealth, I could get a clue within 30kills and without, over 70.
