August 31, 200718 yr Hi, with the halting of my members subscription until Christmas, I have nearly 4 months to alch 100K+ items among other things. I have heard, on a previous thread I have started, that the Freaky Forester Random event does not automatically shade out your magic spellbook tab, unlike other events (such as mime, maze, evil twin, etc). I have confirmed this myself, I was teleported to the Freaky Forester pheasant place where I could open and access my magic spellbook. However, I had no alchemy or teleport runes with me at the time so I could not test whether I could alch in there. So, with that said, I am attempting to receive a Freaky Forester random while I'm alching, because you can't get another random event while you're already in a random event, right? Well, I'll test it anyway, so what kind of action/s is/are best to attract a Freaky Forester? I'm assuming that since Freaky Forester is tied in with woodcutting, I will get receive the event if I cut yews along with those lvl 3 bots? If you receive Freaky Foresters often in a certain f2p place, posting where and what you were doing when you obtaained the event would be helpful.
August 31, 200718 yr Suprisingly, I have never recieved a Freaky Forester random event whilst WCing. I have the full set of Lederhosen, however they (the random) mostly occur to me while RCing nats via the abyss at the most peculiar times. :wall: The rest of the times I have gotten the Freaky Forester is when I'm teleporting from one place to another. Particularly from Edgeville to Varrock and from the Warrior's Guild to Adrougne :-k . But since you can't access Adrougne, I think you'll have to go with the first option. Though I can't guarantee you you'll get the event, it is this particular action that has gotten me the most in my time playing the game. Best of luck alching btw :) ! ^ Refresh for a new signature ^
August 31, 200718 yr I know this might be random but, try ranging minotaurs in security stronghold. I've gotten tons of mimes\lenderhosen randoms down there. Alternatively just alch, that repetitive action is a random magnet
August 31, 200718 yr I've noticed that Freaky Forester appears a LOT during cooking (by a lot, I mean compared to other things). There are a lot of other things that trigger him, but this seemed to be by far the most common trigger. August 31, 200718 yr you can do I think 1 alch in the ff place, after that, it says "you aren't supposed to be doing that in here"
August 31, 200718 yr although it is random, i just completed set  , i think its best to go to security of stronghold, lots of randoms happened to me and my second f2p account
August 31, 200718 yr I've gotten it once, while Firemaking. As you could see if you looked at my stats, I've woodcut more logs than I have burned. perfect grammar is one thing, typing like a drugged monkey and enjoying it is anotherAMEN!
August 31, 200718 yr Its called a Random event for a reason. Theres only a few you get while doing certain skills, but other than that it is random.
August 31, 200718 yr Author Its called a Random event for a reason. Theres only a few you get while doing certain skills, but other than that it is random. Sure, they could be random in times, but I find that random events tend to cluster amongst certain areas. For example, EVERYTIME I am teleporting, a mysterious old man appears and this can lead to the box, talking to him, mime, pinball, or the maze. You could say that this, indeed, is random, but in all my three years of Runescape, I have NEVER receieved any other non-old man random event when teleporting. Also, I tend to be kidnapped by Molly in Falador East bank in high capacity servers. To the rest, thanks for the suggestions, I'll try one of those things at a time and see when that Freaky man comes :)
August 31, 200718 yr While random events are random, some actions have a higher chance of triggering a certain random than other events. So saying it's completely random isn't true; it's random with some control. It's like if you had to roll a number higher than 4. One die goes from 1-6, one goes from 1-12. It's still random, but not completely uncontrollable.
