I still think I could use some constructive criticism, though. I know the surface map has been improving since the first time I started working with Terragen - in retrospect, those were absolutely horrible. I could still use some more tips for surface maps and such, though.

Not bad, but the lens flare + blur KILL it.

Try using a real 3D program, such as Bryce, to create some real nice landscapes, anyone can do that with Terragen, and I mean anybody, try and get into a good 3D rendering/modeling program and try to create some actual good looking landscapes in there.

Don't worry about the Zonorhc, he doesn't know what he's talking about I talked to him on aol instant messenger and he couldn't even provide any evidence that he knew how to use the program. Though he kept referring to incest for some reason.

*sigh* i hate people like you... Infact, you probaly don't even know what Terragen can truly do, and instead you recomend "Bryce" as a real 3d program. IMO, its esier to make a landscape in bryce than terragen. The surface maps and textures are already there and atmospheres as well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

how about you show me a great piece done by your self in terragen? I mean, hell, it's easy isn't it? should be easy for someone like you to make one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Untill then, shut it. Terragen takes more skill than you think. it also takes knowladge of how textures work in real life, stuff like grass/rock/ect.

I felt that the blur was needed, since I don't like how Terragen makes the terrain edges incredibly hard against the atmosphere.

I'm not quite sure about how you could back up what you say. I've never used Bryce myself, but I could just take your attitude and say that anyone can create a landscape with it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That said, I won't take your attitude, but I'd just like to say that you should form some sort of basis for your, ah... educated opinions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personally, I think that every post you make with regard to Terragen makes you sound like an overly opinionated, self-indulgent fool.
