Another Idea...[Edited First Post]

If I pick flax and spin for my crafting level. Sell. Buy Runes. Train Mage. Get level 55. Then pick flax spin for crafting attach for fletching. Get level to make yew longs. Alch. Rinse And Repeat.

I spent 140k to buy runes in 1 and a half hours my crafting level when up 10 levels and I mage 144k. In only 25 runs i had all my flax 25 runs to the wheel all my bowstrings. Then I sold them. I am almost level 55 mage.

My overall summary..

Great Strategy.

It would be a better use of your time an money to just fletch willow logs into willow longbows (u) until 70 fletching. When stringing, as I said, make sure it is yew longs or greater than you are stringing.

Picking flax and spinning strings is a waste of time, and time is money. I certainly wouldn't bother doing that unless you like the satisfaction of doing everything yourself.

It's a very good idea. Because although it'll take quite a bit of work, you will make a decent profit and gain a lot of mage experience as well.

Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.

Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate?

Why is it a waste of time and money when im using it to earn money to build skills and then become fully self suffiecient.

Being self suffiecient is alright but you can make more money if u buy the flax and then spin it. It's xp vs. Money kinda thing.

But gj on being self suffiecient it's hawt <3:<3:<3:<3:<3:<3:<3:<3:<3:<3:<3:

i would do the quest that unlock the kingdom royal trouble and the one before or after that. trust me it is a good way to make money.

you pay 40 gp per flax and i dunno how much bs are right now but it could be well worth it.

also with 10 workers on flax and 5 on maples you would get logs for fletching for your yew long goal. you also get seeds which you can sell to make any cash wasted back (most of the time).

the down side is you should keep approval rating at 100% and then have atleast 750k cash in the coffers daily.

but it is your choice after all.

no i dont mean put in 750k daily. just keep the total cash limit above 750k

and they only use 75k per day (max) so if you want you can put 1 mill in and come back like 4 days later and you will have lots of stuff ready to fletch/spin.

but i would suggest returning everyday to keep approval rating at 100%

but you should check out the guide on the tip.it website. it explains things moderately well...
