This one looks good so far, but it seems a little bit under-contrasted. I think especially the monster is too hard to see. I love the border and the mountains in the background though.

 

 

 

Overall, not bad, I'm sure it will look great if you added some contrast and darker shadows. Can't wait to see the finished result. :)

But this is still a WIP right? :D I hope you add there some objects to fill the space up. Also it lacks contrast alot, need some darker shadows and brighter light, otherwise great job.

Looking good so far, has some sort of a Lord of the Rings feel to it.

 

 

 

I would suggest to try a darker background like the first one though. (I know, you needed a background color so you used a random one)
