I slightly agree with Quer, atleast it's a good style to be copying though.

sorry im just under the slight impression that you are majoritally (sp) explaining your style... ive already seen people copy stuff directly from the tutorial.. things that should be influenced by the peoples own style.. (this is those peoples fault not yours)

your missing some basics essential to pixeling.

 

 

 

people have to know HOW to pixel,how to make a drawing how a platebody looks like isnt the moste important thing..

 

 

 

basic shapes and drawing is.

 

 

 

talking about platebody the one in the tut has disproportionate arms :wink:

Your guide is less popular, I don't think you'd be saying this if people were copying your style. Also as I told you before people are looking at a cartoony pixel sig now.

Just because no one else has seemed to have fault with your method dosn't mean there isn't none. His post was *not* offensive. He just wanted to discuss your teching style is all I can see.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I bet this is the more popular tutorial for the simple reason that Quer prefers a realistic style, while a cartoony style appeals to someone who has a hard time drawing from life, which seems to be many people.

Oh em gee, this thread is old. I completely forgot about it. This is what I'll do: I'm working on a sig atm for someone in a contest and I will save it after every major step, go into detail about how to do certain things, and make a new thread with it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So plans:

 

 

 

- Save progress of major steps in next sig.

 

 

 

- Go into detail about each step, expand with images on how to do certain things.

 

 

 

- Add more tips.
