Ranged: 65 to 70. ~ Answered, can be closed.

I was thinking of buying 8,000 iron knives and killing Fire Giants all the way to 70 ranged. I only need to throw about 17,500 knives, and I'll get back most of the 8,000 knives with an accumulator.

I know fire giants are a great way to train ranged. But are there any faster ways that do NOT involve cannoning?

Equip setup: archer helm, full red d'hide, unholy book, glory amulet, possibly snakeskin boots. Oh, and an accumulator, of course.

there is many faster ways like ogres (The ones near castlewars) hob goblings next to the crafting guild are also great. It's more places that i can't think of at the moment.

Yeah, why not fire giants? It's because you don't hit accurate enough to make it efficient.

I trained my pure from something like 55 ranged up to 70 on ogres with msb on mainly bronze arrows, i got herb seeds for my main and big bones for sale, pure had 65 agility then easy banked all bbones, collected all of they (other people sometimes leaved bbones too i collected that ones too) and done money for arrows in this way.

Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.

Buy Iron or Bronze arrows, and go shoot them at the caged ogres near Ardougne. Don't pick them up, but bronze arrows are cheap. Excellet experience!

This is my preferred method. I need a bumper sticker that says:

"I brake for ranarr seeds"

That's all I pick up (well, snap and kuarm too), the experience is really fast and you don't have to pay much attention to what you are doing (you can watch tv while you do this no problem).

Fire giant drops are nice, but the area is usually pretty crowded and you do have to pay a bit of attention as they can hurt you if you run out from behind your obstacle.

Well, since I have no idea, then I'll trust you guys and go to the ogres. :)

One question about them, though: does the accumulator work through the cage? I really don't want to pick up all my arrows or buy more than I really need if I didn't pick them up.

Not sure but just go to Orge outside CW and kill them theres 2 or 3 safe spots and the accumulator will get the arrows

The accumulator does not work through the cage.
