munchkinmage
Well, I'm semi-coming out of retirement, and I'm gonna be training ranged in F2P. I've got 100k Bronze Arrows, and someone told me that Ankous in the stronghold of security are a good monster to train on, and I'm wondering what's the easiest safe spot to use to range them from. Anyone have any tips?
skeroh
They do give good xp, but I'm not sure if they have a safespot...You may want to bring a set of rune and check it out yourself and try to find some safespots. Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)
R_2_H
My friend said there was a safespot somewhere in one of the ankou areas but never told me, I'd like to know this as well. I'm pretty sure there is at least one safespot. The ULTIMATE Runescape weapon
ham100000001
In the main area there in no safe spot. :XD: There is some other areas with ankous, but there weren't as many, that have one or two safespots.
Olbritishchap
north of the entrance to level four there is a room with one safespot, behind a skeleton. i suggest meleeing them until un-aggressive, because the others can get you if aggressive when you are in the spot. NJE03
I found the safespot to be rather difficult and did not personally care much for it. All you do is wait till there non aggressive then line them up and use skeleton on ground as safe. Doomster
The room at the south has a more robust safespot, possible to hold 100% if you don't pick up until "safe". Ankou are more susceptible to magic, all spells, as well as crumble, than to range. The Catablepon, (third level) have a totally rocksolid safespot in the northwest room, and range works best on them - they have high magic resistance, and use weakens to upset melee fighters. Alternatively, range on lower level stuff. the Mintaurs are good iron droppers and the Zombies (second level) are better than breakeven for dropping steel arrows - even more so if melee fighters are leaving their arrow drops.
