Sy_Accursed
It so annoying seeing all these endless threads about how these new shops are gonna cause various economic crashes. Its totally rubbish if actually understand the basic idea of economics. The actually solid outcomes of this are: 1) Shops have infinite stock so you never have an issue buying the items you need, should you use a shop 2) ALL item prices of major resources have been raised to be a at the very least 5gp HIGHER than the player market price This is perfectly balanced. Previously the player market thrived as it was easier to get these items off the players, since bots took all shop stock as it was NOW players CAN buy it from shops easily but they will spend millions extra to get the items As such the player market will still survive since thier prices are now CHEAPER than stores. The only ones who loose out big time are the bots who can no longer buy for cheap stoe price and sell high. There is no way this can cause economic crashes, if anything prices on runes extra will rise slightly as supply is now lowered. But the price will be limited by store price. Therefore the player market will barely alter. l337ubernoob
Id say youre absolutely correct. The only thing that might happen is that the 'major' rune prices such as nats, laws and deaths rise a little as their shop prices are quite a bit higher then their market price before the update. Id say the loss of supply here will most likely be made up for by an increase in runes crafted by players. The big question I have now is where the bots will move to next
Marvel Titan
Yes but the bots never really bought natures, they have always been crafted buy players so this shouldn't really change Ex-Wilderness GuardianEx-Solace Retired from F2P clans indefinitely
WingedFish
I bought 50k bronze arrows for 7gp each... Last time I checked, the market price was a wee bit higher. And it's also more efficient because you don't have to use forums to find a seller :)
Lord Diddy
Though this shop takes a small hit to runecrafting, this will not "crash" the economy as you say. The only thing im worried about is what autoers are going to thrive on next. I really have to hand it to Jagex, they found a pretty stable way to get rid of the autoers without affecting many players, and most enjoy this. Sy_Accursed
Yeah don't get me wrong I'm not saying there will be no market reaction. Obviously prices will alter a bit as bot removal etc alters supply & demand a bit. But these changes will by no means be crashes and all of them at most will be maybe a 10 - 50gp ea rise or fall in products. The only two markets that are going to crash is water filled vials and eye of newt. But thoose 2 deserve to crash they were ways for lazy people to make masses of cash. Danqazmlp
I really don't get how people say runecrafting market will/has crashed. Nats/deaths/laws should stay constant, as because the prices are quite alot heavier than player brought, people will want to buy less often from the shops. Im just happy i don;t have to spend 3 hours looking for water runes on the forums to ice with anymore. Want to be my friend? Master_Smither
I agree nothing should realy change except arrows in some cases. Danqazmlp
Theres only one update i found i don't like from this. Ali m's rune shop now doesent give a discount like it did before :(. Would prefer it to have stayed as a discount rune shop as it takes brains to unlock it. Want to be my friend? alcoolj
Auto buyers in shops made up only a fraction of the bots in RS. The main ones are still there, i.e. fishers and woodcutters. Woodcutting will become even more desirebale by bots now, as high alching will become more sought after by people trying to get cash into the game. Lower yew prices will ensue, hence more gp's into RS, and higher nat prices. Just you wait n see.
berbatovsky
All that has happened is: 1)bots can't buy out shops and sell the items to players for gold which they would then sell for real $$$$$, +1 Jagex, 2)people who merchanted feathers, low lvl arrows, knives etc... are boned.....good.3) Getting basic and necessary equipment (i.e:feathers) is now no longer a laborious chore that melts the mind +2 Jagex. 4)people now have the OPTION of buying items incredibly quickly and without having to find a seller, but with the cost of...higher prices. +3 Jagex. I think Jagex did a good job, I do not think that this update will do any damage to the economy.

Just that it only affects the irritating and lazy newbs that want to make quick cash using shop stock.
B_Ryan20
only thing that'll happen is choas runes wil go down in price due to them selling for 140 gp normally and now stores sell for 140 ea they will drop to 120-130 big deal i dont care but just putting it out there :D
Kashi
The idea is, let's use runes as an example. Chaos runes, for example, are 140 GP in the new store, this means that player prices for Chaos runes will NEVER go over 139 GP, EVER. And in most cases they'll be quite bit cheaper. Or if laws in the new stores are what, 340? That means that law runes will never, ever in the future of RuneScape ever go over 339 GP. Ever. See how that works? Kashi
laws are like 378. Okay, if they're 378 then prices will never go over 377. Way to miss the point. :( My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race. However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to.
