You have fire giants which are only crowded at prime time EST and have decent drops and amazing exp, or if you want even less crowded, you can do hellhounds and hope for a good reward off the clues. Caged ogres? You find them at King Lathas' training grounds. They have fair amounts of hp, and drop big bones and various seeds. You need a quest to access them, not sure which one (plague city?).
