Meleeing the brothers

Is there anything wrong with meleeing the barrows brothers? I hit alot higher with melee than mage.

Without Veracs, you won't hit very much on them with melee. The best method for you would be to mage the melee brothers with Slayer Dart/fire bolt with Chaos Gauntlets, melee Karil with a DDS + whip with a super attack, and range Ahrim.

Melee'ing them with veracs works quite well; it's about just as fast as slayer dart if you drink a super att and str and have 90+ att and str. It's also much cheaper.

 

 

 

I made about 33M off 250 trips, all done with veracs. A lot of that profit came from runes from the chest.

 

 

 

Alternatively, you can melee them without veracs, but only with stats in the high 90s, otherwise it's a waste of time.

Mage the melee brothers unless you are over 90 attack, even then mage is probably quicker.

 

 

 

I can melee Karil faster than I can mage him and I'm at 85 attack. Dunno if that helps you much but mage does work. I always kill him second so have prayer on a lot of the times.

 

 

 

As for Ahrim I always found melee was better than range. Just wear dragonhide. I have the added plus of not having to carry a bow and arrows.

With the Barrows Brothers, it doesn't matter which attack style is your best, it only matters what they are weak too. Dharok, Verac, Guthan, and Torag all have very high Melee defense and almost no Magic Defense. So even though you can hit higher with Melee, you won't against these guys.

Even if you don't hit high with Slayer Dart it hits almost every time. So u can hit like 10 0's with melee when ur slayer dart hit 10 5's which is better.

you may hit higher, but surely not faster and more accurate than the dart

If you have 70+ atk str and def, then with veracs you can, but i wouldn't suggest it until you have 80+ in every combat stat, or 85+ in atk and always use super sets. I just use slayer dart, much easier, and usually always hits high.
