wc vs mining

i currently have 65 wc and 61 mining

 

 

 

but which is most worth the training to 99

 

for:

 

 

 

cash

 

quick training speed

 

f2p usefulness

 

 

 

 

 

your thoughts?

miningcape looks better than wc cape, but it's way harder to get.

 

 

 

I would go for woodcutting, just chop willows at rimmington and sell them to the shop

Well...For cash 99 wc is good because I think you can get 1k yews in under an hour, which is about 300k an hour.

 

Whereas 99 mining = Quite quick runite ores...Head to heroes guild, mine out the runite and hop worlds...Each runite is 10-12k so i reckon ull make...Bout 270k an hour if your extremly lucky. So for cash wc.

 

 

 

F2p usefulness, wc is a straight winner.

 

 

 

If cape look is one, mining would probably look better, and its emote is better.

 

 

 

Overall, wc is faster, easier and you make more money off it at 99. Therefore I would go for wc.

Think about this, though...

 

 

 

By the time you get either of those skills to 99, you'll be so sick of training that skill that you won't want to make money from it. I know for sure I would want to take a LONG break from that skill once I reached 99.

keep in mind that you don't have to get to 99 to make cash. You can cut yews or magic trees for money in woodcutting

 

 

 

Mining makes it's best cash at 85. But quite honestly, I believe rune mining is overrated. It's really only 200k per hour which isn't a huge amount for a lvl 85 skill that's already quite hard to level.

You can only cut 200 - 300 yews an hour. I have D WC axe, and 96 woodcutting and only can cut 226 non stop.

This is a LIE a dirty LIE! The woodcutting emote is one of the best, as a matter of fact the only one that I can think of at the moment that looks better is the prayer emote. The mining cape itself is much more respectable though. I have only seen two poeple with mining capes, and only one of them spoke english :-k

hehe wioneo, your stats say it all, but i quite want to raise fletching htho too, so ill stick woodcutting

I actually haven't gained a mining level since I was F2P... Anyways, if you want fletching experience, just set your kingdom to 100% maples. That's how I got from whatever level you need to make maple shorts(35 or 45 I think) to 70. At which point you get to make a lot of money, but I only fletch when I get down to around 600k.

I'd suggest doing mining it's a better reward in the long run and a way more respected cape.

I personally don't think that a tree rising up out of the ground and then being systematically chopped down with sections of the tree flying off until the bird's nest is left is boring, but to each his own...

Woodcutting and mining are about the same in terms of exp. AT 94 i can average 45k/hour cutting willows at rimmy and mining is sort of in the lower 40s. it's just depends if you want a more respected cape and more clicking or a less respected cape with a easier time as not much clicking is involved. And if you type alot in runescape as typing will slow down mining.
