imaleber Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 Well, after I get 82 mage (very soon) I hope to do a little castle wars. (I've never played before). I'm wondering if my stats are good enough to play it, and whether I should use melee or ranged in it. I'm not there for the xp, more the fun, but I'd like to know what method would give me more xp. My stats are (Combat 64): 60 attack 78 strength 74 hp 82 mage 71 range 1 defence 11 pray (ancients prequest). If I use melee I'll probably just use dds and scimitar. If I use ranged, I'll use bronze arrows or knives. I won't be using magic often though, since it costs quite a lot, but i'll definately bring some blitzes. So, what are you opinions on what method I should use in terms of effective minigaming and xp? I know I'll probably die often because of my def/pray, but will I hit through others a lot? skeroh Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 I think you'd be decent enough to play it although you'll get slaughtered pretty quickly with by higher leveled players. But, hey, its fun to kill lower leveled people and whatnot but I would go melee. That's always been my favorite. It's not that enjoyable standing on the tower throwing knives at people... Codguy Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 I would recommend just meleeing and then having some blitzes and bursts (as you stated already) to just back yourself up at times or help with the flag or something. Danqazmlp Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 Cw is barely any exp at all, so i wouldnt play for that. I can manage arounf 5k exp a round if im not concernet with winning. I'd say take both forms, you'l come against all types of combat so having all types to fight back is a good idea. Just have fun, and try and find which sort of playing suits you.
