cat666
Anyone know of a way to ensure a reasonable task? Last night I finished up Fire Giants and went to Shilo. Turoth so I changed it to Dwaves and went back to Shilo. Gargoyles so I changed it to Desert Lizards. As I was near lost Lost City, I went there. Kursaks so I changed it to Wolves and went back to Shilo. Black Dragons, only 10 so I bit the bullet and did them, went back to Shilo thinking it was time for a decent task. Steel Dragons so I changed it to Cave Crawlers, back to Shilo. Spiritual Warriors so I have changed to wolves. Then I got really really annoyed and logged off. I know Lost City always gives you your top task 50% of the time, but my top task is Necreyals and tbh they are annoying to range. Therefore I stick with Shilo. Any ideas how to get decent tasks pretty commonly? Trust the Gene Genie!
klankaos
I think your best bet is to just keep doing it until your max assign is something else. Then if you want lots of that one, you can simply do a Zanaris task, then a Burthorpe one (no master gives the same task twice in a row, so the Burthorpe task is a kind of filler). Being immature is a part of being mature.
imran
Well IMO, I think that Gargoyles are a decent task and you should have done them. I know not many people do steel dragons for slayer, but i feel that more people should do them. Not for speedy xp but rather the chance of brightening your day :D It is all random anyway so it is hard to give you a straight answer other then attempting to do most of them and only skip the ones that you really feel that you should. 9,190th to 99 WoodCutting - 10/11/0724,262nd to 99 Magic - 30/1/
Klugsi
4 out of 7 ok/good tasks... anyways the 50% chance of your highest monster isnt true anymore - it worked a few months ago, but they changed it (i switched to shilo cause i dont get many aby demons and black beast tasks) so u could go back to zanaris

Gargoyles are OK but if you lag out (happens to me a lot for some reason) then they will kill you as you can't deliver the finishing blow. That's why I skip them. Trust the Gene Genie! Cryptogram
I always did gargs with ring of life before the update. They're a decent task. I think your being a tad fussy really, even though the tasks you mentioned aren't the best tasks to do. Don't follow me. You might not make it.All your accounts are belong to us now.If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator

I will be honest I use SS and that seems to crash at least once a night for some reason. Last night it happened whilst I was at the Black Dragons. Luckily I was praying but when I logged in it said I was already logged in. I hit connect again and it connected (after 61 seconds). Trust the Gene Genie! Danqazmlp
I prefer lost city over shilo. But thats because im going for melee exp over slayer exp. I get quite a few afk'able tasks at lost city but very few with shilo. Want to be my friend? cat666
I don't think I'm being that fussy. Turoth, Kursaks and Steel Dragons I think most people skip. Same with Spiritual Warriors. I did a task of Gargoyles once and I did like doing them and they gave me good XP, however I was just a bit scared after reading you can die if you lag out. However if the consensus is they have changed this then I will give them another go, still with a ring of life though. I hope tonight I am a bit luckier with my assignments. Trust the Gene Genie! Ltangel
To get some overall great tips on slayer skill, be sure to read over Master Slayer Guide by Axe Man Jack I found it a couple months ago when I started working on slayer again, and it has been very helpful. Good Luck! -Lt-
SirHartlar
I know the feeling, sometimes you get a streak of awful tasks but then sometimes you get a few really nice tasks. If I were you I'd just keep at it and hope for a good streak. :)

lcchs
I think the only task worth buthroping is warped terrorbirds as they consistantly hit you. The other monsters that shilo village master gives is good for clue and money
Norton3000
Spiritual warriors are a great task. They don't hit that often and you can use full Guthans for healing. They also drop loads of alchable stuff. Retired from RuneScape for as long as possible.

Do I need to wield the mace to make the Bandos people stop attacking me? Just go to the zammy encampment and wear a zammy cape. There's loads of spiritual warriors there and I think zammy is the only encampment with ONLY zammy followers inside. In any other encampment, there will be some monsters still aggressive to you. Berrakus
Personally I think you are being too picky to level Slayer. Turoths are pretty hard to do efficiently at your level so it was good to skip them. As people mentioned, you don't have to be afraid of getting disconnected at Gargoyles anymore. There's nothing wrong with Kurasks. You like to Range and there is a great safespot and Broad arrows are a lot easier to buy now. Steel Dragons are hard to do at your level, so it was probably good to skip them. Axe Man Jack made a mistake by saying to skip Spiritual Warriors. They are a great task. Easiest way to do them is to wear your normal melee gear and swap out the cape and necklace for a Zammy Cape and Holy Symbol or Sara Cape and Unholy Symbol. You don't want to swap out other spots or you will get mass attacked when you switch to Guthans to heal. When you first enter the dungeon, just go east and you will see several Sara Spirit Warriors to attack. They are usually engaged in combat so you can attack them without them attacking you back. There are a lot of other ways to do this assignment, but this should get you started and get you comfortable in the GWD. Dragon Drops - 10 Meds, 9 Legs, 5 Skirts, 2 Left HalfPM me to have any potions made or crafting done
cat666
Got Gargolyles last night and did them. I do not find them that hard at all. I make my own super attacks and super strengths and 8 doses of each gets me through the assignment fairly easily. Guthans to heal. My main concern was lagging out here and dying, losing Guthans in the process. Since Jagex have fixed this though I will do these from now on. However Duradel is still being annoying as he gave me Steel Dragons after the Gargoyles. Skipped for wolves, back to Duradel and he gave me Steel Dragons again!! He must really hate the Steel Dragons as he keeps asking me to kill them! Trust the Gene Genie!
