are either of those part of the keylogger? if not then i should be safe

BTW im the one who got it and the person sent the videos to other people

could anyone tell me if either of those are part of the keylogger, if not then it should be ok for me to log in to runescape. i dont know much about computers but im going to be much more cautious from now on

If you have a DVD writer, you should go out to your nearest computer store and buy a nice tall spindle of blank DVDs. Back up all of your important data like homework assignments, music, movies et al. Then, ask a friend that more computer literate for some help formatting your computer's hard drive so that you can reinstall Windows and your hardware drivers.

A thorough clean-up of your computer like this is usually a very good way to make sure you don't have any malicious apps running in the background. It may seem a little extreme to format your hard drive just to clear out key loggers but peace of mind is priceless.

i know that would be the best way but i dont have the time it would take garound now since the first quarter of school is almost over and i am gettin bogged down with so much homework its not even funny. maybe when i get some time ill try to, to reformat after i back up everything dont i just have to put the disc in the came with the computer. its a labtop btw if that matters. im considering taking it with me next time i go to the best buy and getting it checked. it will most likely be christmas time though

I suggest you to not take it not take it to bestbuy or another store to get it checked for spyware. You can do that all from home for free using snoop free ,ad-aware, and spybot.

Im so good with computers, but restarting the computer and get all important stuff from ur computer to blank-cd's sounds like the best solution but if you dont have the time then i dont know :S

i already have snoopfree and ad-ware. does spybot mess up if you have any other things installed or is it fine

Spybot has no problems with other programs running, and has really fast and thorough scans as well. Definitely get it.
