I'd rather have a machine gun with a chain saw on the end like in Gears of War. That seems like a good weapon to fend off zombies :

 

 

 

If you want to die its a good weapon.

 

 

 

1. Chainsaws run on gas, they don't have unlimited fuel.

 

2. Chainsaws are LOUD. Kill one zombie and alert every one of em in a mile radius to your position

 

3. I'm pretty sure a chainsaw/machine gun would be pretty heavy.

 

 

 

 

I've always had some kind of wierd interest in zombies, as long as they're slow and stupid. No 28 Days Later [cabbage] going on here, that's reasonable grounds for suicide.

28 Days Later wouldn't be so bad as they're still human so you don't need a head shot. But Dawn of the Dead 04 zombies. Thats where everyone is screwed

I'd rather have Dawn of the Dead 04 zombies than 28 Days Later "zombies." 28 zombies move really fast, and the infection spreads to the living more easily. Dawn of the Dead 78 or Night of the Living Dead zombies would be better than the others, because they move slowly. Return of the Dead zombies would be worse than all of the others, we're really [bleep]ed if that happens.

I sorta forgot about how Dawn of the Dead they moved fast and could only be killed with a headshot. I restate that THAT would be reasonable grounds for suicide. Unless I could camp in a mall, of course.

The end isn't exactly clear, although it really looked like they were all dead.

 

 

 

DotD 04 zombies did move a bit quicker didn't they. DotD 76 zombies didn't move fast at all, neither did NotLD zombies. Were Shaun of the Dead zombies quick or slow? I can't remember exactly.

Did a little bit of research ( 10 minutes of browsing the Interwebz ) and to my understanding, this is what I've retrieved about that movie:

 

 

 

- Coming out in February.

 

- Suppose to be a remake of the 80's Day of the Dead, although is in a completley different setting.

 

- Is in no relation to Dawn of the Dead, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

 

- Looks like crap, and I really like zombie movies..

 

- Doesn't even have all the same names as the first Day of the Dead

 

- There really needs to be a legit sequal to Dawn of the Dead.

I actually found that about a week ago. I thought it was quite interesting. Has anyone here read "The Zombie Survival Guide"? Its quite an interesting read.

 

 

 

That book helped me create my contingency plan with some buddies, first we set up in local gun store, fill semi, fight way to alaska, and create a new life free of super walmarts

 

 

 

Wow. I thought I was the only one to create a contingency plan after reading that book. Well, for mine, I already have a 12-gauge shotgun with about 100 rounds, a 9mm with 234 (Yes. I tracked and kept count), a crossbow with 47, a muzzle loader with 34. I mapped all Oil Rigs on the west coast and I plan to commandeer a private plane and have my Uncle fly it. Might rob from Wal-Mart real quick for food and more ammo.

Shaun of the Dead zombies were your average slow moving, staggering zombies. They could easily be out run, and were pretty stupid.

I can think of two other big problems with a chainsaw.

 

1) You have to be VERY close range. I would like to finish them off before they get within 15 feet of me if at all possible. For this reason alone a chainsaw would be no where in my arsenal.

 

 

 

2) Yet another problem is that a chainsaw is not a clean kill. It would throw blood everywhere. I'm not that comfortable making sure that every single drop of that blood doesn't get in my eye/open cut/mouth/ anything else that would lead to me getting infected.

 

 

 

Short version: Stay away from chainsaws when the zombie apocalypse comes.
