November 10, 200718 yr 2012 is a year not a day. In the future, years will be one day long. That would mean the rotation of the Earth on it's axis would have to slow down a lot, and the side close to the sun would be way to hot for life and the other side way too cold. Or the Earth revolves around the sun once a day, which would get rid of seasons and we would be moving very very fast. Although on the Earth we wouldn't feel it, just the initial acceleration.
