If by Message center you mean anything else than the Runescape website it sure as hell is a scam, Jagex will NEVER mail you! You're probably not looking at the real runescape.com right now!

You've probably got a virus that is redirecting your browser to a fake site. In that case, you might have been keylogged now as well.
