Fire giant ranged exp/hour

Im training ranged at fire giants and im getting really low exp per hour, around 25k per hour.

 

 

 

This is way too low, im lvl 75 ranged with +126 bonus and using bone bolts.

 

 

 

Why am i getting so low exp?

I guess using something better then bone bolts will help?

Use range pots and iron knives 8-)

 

 

 

Although if you're just going for cheap and cheerful then don't expect hawt xp :?

Use iron throwing knives instead of bone bolts

I'm 78 ranged and i'm also ranging fire giants with bone bolts.

 

It's decent xp imo. :-k

Range pots are definitely worth it. Use them and idk if you have maxed range bonus but try working on that. I believe best bonus is blk full d hide, robin, ranger, archer, ava, zammy, fury. I never calc exp but I found fire giants good exp when I did it and I am 81 range.

Well, I use bone bolts and get over 40k xp per hour, although my range is quite a bit higher. If you want faster xp, you'll have to spend more than 4gp per shot, to put it simply. Use iron knives, or darts for faster xp, although it will be more costly. The same goes for high level bolts, arrows, or even chinchompas. They are faster xp, but will cost more.

Thats true. I got swept up into the love of bone bolts when it came out but I trained with msb+iron at your lvl and used crystal at 70 which helped me hit high so I could get 80+ to use bone bolts effectively.
