Anyway, back to the topic: If it was someone you were close to, why choose to report them. They might hate you forever for it, which would be your own fault.

I remember there being a discussion about this, reporting your close friends and other people you knew in real life. I don't see why it really matters unless it seriously breaks a rule. I'm not for breaking rules but it's not worth sacrificing real life relationships for.
