November 22, 200718 yr Tempests Zamorak Godwars Dungeon Guide The Zamorak area of the Godwars dungeon has always been frowned upon for a number of reasons. Some people don't like the fact that the only decent CS'able drop is the hilt, some people don't like the fact that K'ril can slash through your prayer and some people don't like the fact that you can be heavily poisoned. Aside from that this are of the Godwars dungeon is just as good as any other, and can be more fun then some. This guide will equip you with the knowledge on how to kill K'ril, the rest is up to you and your team. I should also mention I have made this guide for higher levelled players, I apologise if you do not fall into this category, although I know there are plenty of other guides that target lower levels as well. This guide is going to assume that you have the following levels or higher: 99 Attack, Strength, Constitution, 90 Defence, 90 Magic, 95 Prayer, 88 Summoning, 85 Herblore. Dress up time. Set up Now because K'ril is an idiot you are able to have only one person tanking, the designated tank will want to have a lot of magic defence as they will be protecting against melee. K'ril has three different attacks, two of which are melee based, one of which is magic based. One of the melee attacks is unpreventable through prayer, and the other melee attack generally deals more damage then the magic, that is why the tank will want a higher magic defence. There are also the three minions to factor in, one attacking with each of the three different forms of combat. This means that most of the team members that are not tanking will want a high range and melee defence and will be protecting against magic. As far as weapons go anything is fine really as K'ril has a very low defence level, although Godswords and whips are what I would recommend. Set up #1 *BANDOS AND A GODSWORD* This is the optimal set up for a warrior. Bandos has nice high melee and range defensive stats as well as decent prayer and strength bonuses. The Godsword is a no brainer as it will be most useful for dealing damage. Seeing as it is your role to deal damage the two best Godswords to use would be the Armadyl Godsword and the Bandos Godsword. You can swap out the fire cape for a Soul wars cape if you want more prayer, although you really shouldn't. Set up #2 *BANDOS TASSETS KARIL'S TOP AND GODSWORD* This is a slightly cheaper yet still effective alternative to the first set up for a warrior. Here you will have more magic defence with still reasonably good melee and range defence. This gives you the option to protect against which ever style of attack you are taking the most damage from. Also if you switch to using a Saradomin Godsword here, and a Soul wars cape you will generally be able to last a bit longer, although with either set up you will be able to last for a good 5+ hours. Set up #3 *KARIL'S WHIP ELY/DIVINE* This is the ultimate tanking set up. You are wearing Karil's for good magic and range defence and you will be protecting against melee. The Elysian or Divine is obviously very useful when you are wanting to consume less food. This is one of the few places an Elysian may be better then a Divine, this is simply due to the fact that K'ril can slash through your protective prayer/curse and drain a large portion of your prayer at the same time. Combine this with the prayer drain from the Divine and you may find yourself running out of super restores very quickly. An Onyx ring (i) would be the best ring to use here, although a Seers or warrior ring are good alternatives, if imbued they are just as good as the Onyx. Set up #4 *BLESSED DHIDE WHIP ELY/DIVINE* More or less the same as the above set up, although here you are using god dragonhide, this eliminates the need for switch items although it does decrease your potential magic and range defence. Set up #5 *KARIL'S WHIP DFS/SPECTRAL* This is the same as set up #3 although instead of an Elysian or Divine spirit shield, which are both very hard to acquire, you will be using a Spectral spirit shield or Dragonfire shield. Everything else is the same. Thats the gear out of the way, the now meal. ]Inventories[/color] This is fairly easy for the warriors, although slightly more difficult for the tank. For a warrior you will want to bring as many extreme sets as you think you will last for, usually about 4-5, then 8-10 super restores or super prayer potions, spare unicorn pouch's and the rest brews for your tank. The robes are used as switch items, simply wear these whilst getting kill count and switch to your good armour once inside the boss room. *WARRIOR INVENTORY* Now with the tank you will obviously be wanting optimal brews. So I would strongly recommend taking a beast of burden familiar, obviously a Pack Yak would be great, but not everyone has access to these. Inside the yak you would want 24 brews and 6 super restores. Thats the sort of ratio to use if using a lower levelled BoB. You won't need to bring any extreme attacks or strengths as you will not really be doing a lot of damage, although if you do have the ability to use Overloads I strongly recommend you do, as that means you can spam brew and still do a good amount of damage. *TANK INVENTORY* Play time. November 22, 200718 yr Please, add some pics. People get bored looking at too much text. Anyway, nice guide. 8/10 Rather informative. My BlogJoin the Campaign for more F2P Bank Space![bleep], my parrot has better grammar than you.
November 22, 200718 yr Ankou's Location: Stronghold of security, level four vault of war Levels: 75 Hit points: 60 (240exp each kill) What to train: Attack, defence, strength and hit points Useful drops: Pick up all for their coin drops even though it may be only five, eventually you will have many multiple thousand's of gp, they don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t drop deaths to often but if you get them commonly you could end up with about 50+ deaths each trip. Their ore and coal drop gives you the advantage of not need 55 mining to make Mithril bars and without having to by the coal or Mithril ore, their addy arrows drops can be used to train range later. Rating: 5/10 I think they should give more exp given their level and hit rate but 240 exp each kill still isn't bad, you defiantly use food quite fast here Crowd factor: 8/10 A popular F2P training place so expect to have to compete for your kills If i am not wrong Ankous only drop Law Runes in F2P not Death Runes. Death Runes are in P2P. You get like 100+ laws per trip depending on your Combat Level Helm: Coif (however I use none, I don't see the need) Body: Green D'Hide body 5-7k Legs: Green D'Hide chaps 3-5k Shield: None you are using a bow Ring: Anything, I use diamond Boots: Desert (members, use leather I suggest as the stronghold boots give range attack penalties) Gloves: Green D'Hide Vambraces 2-3k Cape: Saradomin (members, use your favourite) Amulet: Amulet of Accuracy/Power Weapon: Maple short bow Arrows: Iron-Addy depending on where you are using them I dont understand. These are members stuff and if I am not wrong this is free to play Guide. Change these and I give you 8.5/10, because you have no pictures. I sort of dont understand the parts in brackets: the one mentioning its members. Try to make it more understandable or just explain it to me. You could add somemore places for rangers who want exp not the money per hour: they range but dont want to pick up their arrows cause its faster. Some places i know are the hobgoblins at the penisula near Rimmington, the Black Guards at the Black Knights Castle (range from the mountain) and also the Guards near the Edgeville Wildy. I have personally never tried this, but have seen many people rangers them from across the ditch ever since the new update. GL on your guide. The Destiny FOR LIFE
November 22, 200718 yr Author Thanks for all the feadback guys i hve just made quite a few upates to the guide, thanks for pointing out the members items in their lol forgot about them  I have now added some recommended levels to go to the places, i have also updated my false ankou information about the death rune drops, thanks \

Their ore and coal drop gives you the advantage of not need 55 mining to make Mithril bars and without having to by the coal or Mithril ore, their addy arrows drops can be used to train range later. Add the Law rune drops from the Ankous. That is where the bulk of the profits come from. You could also add that Ankous drop Rune Essence (Noted) and the Left Skull Half. The Destiny FOR LIFE
November 23, 200718 yr Author Viz thank you for the information but, left half isn't really that usefull if you think about it because you still need other scepter parts and the rune ess you need 1000+ to make a difference, i will add the laws later, ' Thanks
November 23, 200718 yr It's a really nice guide. Just add some pictures and it would be awesome. :) You could also mention Moss Giants at Karajama Dungeon or Varrock sewers. (They're extremely crowded though.) Also for the Range guide, you could mention Minotaurs at the Stronghold of Security. They drop iron arrows so they could help for some lower leveled players. Again, great guide. P.S. viz94, on the upper-right hand corner of your post, there is an "edit" button. It is right next to the quote and report button. Hope it helps! :D F2p for life!
November 23, 200718 yr Pictures would make it look nice. Also, maybe you should record the amount of hp xp you get in an hour, that way you can compare different things like which monsters give xp faster, strength ammy vs power ammy, different weapons ect... Also you forgot about moss giants, they are good xp, drop big bones for prayer xp, and they have a decent droplist if you alch the mith swords and black squares. And like every guide, check it over for spelling errors, an error free guide makes it look that much better. And you might want to add a section on alternatives to using full rune + skim, as many f2pers can't afford that. Got his first skill cape April 7th 2009, at lv 121+12 cb and 2000 total

Well yes that is a good idea, but i have been very busy latly with homework so i am not sure i will have time to do it 100% accuratly in the near future, and as pointless as this is you say that not all F2p people can offord rune scimmis and full rune well my compromise is this, it;s completly legal just takes time. Keep making accounts then do the stronghold of security for the 10k over and over 20 times = 200k =Full rune + Rune scimmi :anxious: [hide]Thanks lots for the feedback and i should mention this is a copy of my first ever guide lol, Thanks[/hide]

PS: Thanks For the method to edit dark_angelxd, i will get to it as soon as possible 8-) The Destiny FOR LIFE
November 23, 200718 yr Ok, take this from someone who has killed enough ankous to get 100 left skull halves. The law rune drops add up quickly (I had about 2k even) The mithril ore adds up quickly, and is quite expensive, so, profits will be nice(I had 850 or something? Maybe somewhere in the 900's) The rune essence is a nice bonus. It isn't worth too much, but, it can save you some money buying rune essence. (Really not sure how many I had) Save your adamant arrows you get, don't fire them back. I got about 1,400 adamant arrows here and, I sold them in a pking world anywhere from 150 ea to a whopping 325 each. (One very desperate pure) Any gems and assorted stuff from random events really adds up. I had so many gems, death and chaos runes. As for flesh crawlers, I got to 80 strength there. If you are with someone who kills zombies also, and they don't pick up drops, you are in luck. I got 2200 steel arrows from lazy people not picking them up. I got 15,500 body runes, from me killing them, and from other people not picking them up. 6k bronze arrows from lazy pures who didn't pick up their arrows. They also drop uncut gems like they are going out of style. I had nearly a full load of gems each time I had to bank.

Get one of your trusted friends or if possible one f your friends Irl to trade with the lvl 3 accounts, get the money and bank it until you have givin them enough for te rune and scimmi then ask for it back, go buy the stuff its very simple. Also moon, thank you very much for all of your contributions as i do not generally train in free play as i am usually a member i have not been to Ankous much at all or even the stronghold for that matter it is very usefull to have the information you have supplied thanks :
November 23, 200718 yr Author Oh yeh guys also, i have not put Moss giants in as i feel they are a waste of time, they are genneraly for people that cannot yet kill ice giants, which is undoubtably more people therefore it is more crowded. You may ont like it but with uncut gem drops what you can do is bring a chisle, cut the gems then drop. You will end up with a nice amount of craft exp each trip if you do this, i'm relating to the Ankous here btw. If you would like to see anything in this guide that is not please post, thanks :

No, this goes against the rule. You may not transfer items between your accounts in any way. Nuff said. Other than that you could mention Air Rune Running in World 16. \ The Destiny FOR LIFE
December 4, 200718 yr Author Well Viz kudos to you, you have either done to much research or are a moderator. You seem to know alot about this area of the rules. Now away from that, the real reason of this psot is that i have started to train a little more at the ankous so i have more information on them. HOW TO MAKE MONEY AT THE ANKOUS Well now with the update of the grand exchange it makes this alot easier, firstly i will describe the best possilbe inventory. 15 Air runes 5 Fire runes 5 Law runs 1+ noted Mithril ore 1+ noted Rune essence 1+ Peices of gold 22 Peices of food, lobbies or swordies preferrable. Keep killing ankous and taking their drops. The only drops you will leave are the black robe tops and if you want to the Left skull half drops as well as uncut gems. If you can last as long as i can you should end up leeaving with at least 15+ Mithril ore noted, 30+Rune essence and 1500+gp and about 10+ addy arrows as well as 20+laws. What i do is before i start killing i set a nubmer of trips i will d before selling. Keep killing, picking up, banking and so on until you have either depleted your food, or have meet your trip goal. Now tele back to varrok, and head on up to the GE (grand exchange). Now sell as many arrows, laws essence and ores as you want to at the lowest market price, it generally doesnt take long for these particular items to sell, took 1 second for my last mith sale. If you continue doing this you will end up with good melee stats and a nice amount of money, probably 25k+ each trip. It really adds up over time.
December 18, 200718 yr may i also suggest for range shantay guards in their pass. never crowded some safespots, and 32hp (more than zombie) and only 22cb. good guide though, 8/10
