November 30, 200718 yr There is no way. After you kill Elvarg you talk to Oziach to complete the quest I think. When you do, you get strength exp and def exp. There is no way to avoid if you want to complete.

It's not going to kill you to have a few defense levels since you're going to be training your combat skills unevenly anyways. A few defense levels will not drastically affect your character level since the majority of it will be calculated by your Strength or Attack stat. December 1, 200718 yr As soon as you kill Elvarg, the quest is complete and you will receive defence XP. So, the only way not to get the XP is to not kill Elvarg and not complete the quest.
