[ANSWERED]Herblore - Quick & Cheap Leveling up

Featured Replies

My current herblore level is 54, I want to get it 57 asap so I can finally get a Quest Cape. I want to spend as little money as possible, yet still get those 3 levels as quick as possible. Any suggestions?

Buy supplies for prayer pots, make and sell

Hmmm, it looks like I'd spend over 500k on Ranarrs and Snape Grass' and barely be able to sell the potions for over 5.5k each...I'd lose a lot in that process. :-k

Well it's your best guess. You want fast exp with the less money spend.

But fast and break even or a little loss is almost impossible to do in RS.

So you have to think by yourself, you want the money and less exp, or break even/little loss and getting fast exp.

After the 3 herblore levels you can merchant or something to regain your loss.

P Pots are a pathetic way to train herblore, make super energies.

Yeah, I see your point. Except for the merchanting part... :shame:

I looked at those, avantoe's go for 1.5 and the Potions sell for 358gp :/ You know a good place to get avantoes? Lol..

1: Invest in your kingdom for herbs, meanwhile collect seconds yourself. If you invest in flax + herbs you could break even.

2: Serum 207 requires tarromin + ashes, so you have the chance to level firemaking as well! Use the serum on the inflicted in Mort'ton, and you get ingredients, pots and gp in return. About breaking even, a bank is nearby in Burgh de Roth.

You are contradicting yourself if you want speed and no cost. Speed = money. Method 2 is not super fast, but it will cost you nothing. For the higher levels it is not recommended, though.

Hm and what do you mean by: "the merchanting part"?

You mean: I'm a bad merchanter, so gettin' money back is a hell

or: what is merchanting?

or: what can I merchant?

I forgot all about that Serum 207 method! I may try it out, it'll take a ton of potions though. About 800. I know I seem to be cheap about spending money on this skill, but I still need money to spend on a lot of other areas. Like my house, construction level, skilling other boring skills, etc etc..

Sorry, but I hate merchants. Their no better than item scamming price manipulators in my mind. :-w

At least someone on my side with this!!!

I really hate it to. But most people think it's a good way of gettin' money.

Well good luck on your levelin' mate :)

You can use ppots by training some your combat or combat+slayer skills, to sell ppots at this times is not profitable, don't do it! i wanted to sell but i don't think to sell with less then 7k ea price..

I think if all ppl stop sell ppots, they price will be forced to go up :)

Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.

Slayer assignments can give tons of seeds/herbs. I do most of these things myself, I seldomly buy herbs/seconds.

As for super energys: mort myre fungi are a pain to get. I used the house/portal method, but it was just too slow...

As I got loads of irits from farming and slayer, I did super attacks for a while. Eyes of newts can be collected fast, especially when using glories. So I have free herbs, buy eyes and sell the pots for 1.5k or so. What's the price of WFV? like 20gp or so? nice profit!

I use very simple run method :) run to fungi, getting full inventory of it then backing to bank then go to temple of Salve using agility shortcut to recharge prayer, then backing and getting fungi again :) i dont think then it take long and i have free all inventory for fungi's because i don't use teleportation and i don't need runes then, just before i get last fungi's i start to wear my sickle and at 1 time i get 28 fungi's ;)

Super Energies sell for less than 500gp in the GE. And sinces the forums are almost completely dead because of new GE, selling Super Energies using the GE is pretty much the only option no matter how bad the prices are. :notalk: Anyways, I think I got it down. Thanks for the help guys. Tippiters <3:

And Agira, I don't understand a single sentence you say on these forums. Not once :-s

Super energies is good for agility training or runecrafting then i never sell they, pray pots people who train slayer require too, for example for metal dragons killing, then better to use it not sell when prices like this and other stuff i better will alch then sell for half price...

Either way, I'd use the potions for training in my honest opinion.

It's worth it after a while. :P
