Gold Bars

Featured Replies

So I'm buying a lot of Gold Bars for crafting, and I had a lot of PM's from people selling them. Three of the four had over 15k gold bars and one had over 100k...

So my question is:

How do people have so many? and why are they so eager to sell them, even if it's less than the price they wanted (got a guy to drop price from 210 to 120 easily)?

Is it from gold ore smithing?

I asked one guy and he said "I have my ways", so that leads me to believe there's something I'm missing. :XD:

Its from Gold Ore Smelting. People get tons of bars, and can't be annoyed to make them into Amulets for Crafting & Magic XP. Their a little hard to sell.

Ok, I thought there was something else I was missing because people seemed really eager to sell them off. I guess it's just because no one buys.

Also as the market of steel is so much bigger

Gold bars are hard to sell

Someone walks right in to buying the 20k ores

Then once theyve smelted them all they then realise how hard they are to sell so they drop their price to sell quicker

Well I better stock up before people realize there's a good use for gold bars :D .

No, I can almost promise you that won't happen. Only thing that will is ruby prices increasing. Gold bars are the result of the fastest and one of the most costly smithing xp in the game...

I know, that's why I said prices of one of the materials, didn't specify that it would be gold bars.

But might as well stock up now, since they're easily bought cheap. Better safe then sorry :D .

Yeah I already did, put around 15M into rubies, and another 9M in GE.

Would buy more but I don't want to sell equips.

Well I was "retired" / on a break for the past year and recently came back. Don't really playing RS that much now, but I still do play it, so I guess it puts me in-between?

I spend more time on these forums then on the game now.

You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?
