December 14, 200718 yr I can agree with you with some things. Jagex have removed the merchanting outside the GE for items with a worth of 60k and over. That's why the proffesional merchanters needs to use the GE. However, we can still use the trading system as long as we don't want to make a big profit. So we're chosing to use the GE. Jagex haven't made it impossible to trade the old way, have they? So it's not the only way to use the GE for merchanting, but you can make a bigger profit if you uses it.
