Enguar85
Yea title says it all. DONT say both or str because thats not really part of the question now is it? Yea and if u could explain the reason why atk/def is better then please do Us jews love our grape juice!
Inuashakent
You're probably using a whip, I would train controlled, but for the sake of answering your question, use attack, it'll speed up training, but make sure your def doesn't fall behind too much. : [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]

gun_hippy
Attack, speeds up training. Def is only majorly important to be able to weild armours, so at 80 def i'd say max out assault before you seriously touch it again. Opinion is divided though, but it's faster overall doing attack. Enguar85
Yea well TBH i hate it when monsters hdo damage to me. I mean i trian on lvl 50 spiders just for that reason. But if u say that attack is faster then i might have to go for attack. BTW i have full guthans if that means anything training wise Us jews love our grape juice! pinguimmaiden
Get attack, def takes too much to train...
Roberthree
def takes too much to train... Are you serious? Every weapon in the game has a defense option. You can halberd, whip, or Dharok while still getting full defence xp. Its also the only stat you can get x4 experience with using spears (including guthan's)
pinguimmaiden
I mean the hits you take, like if you use att with whip you kill faster then using def, thats what i meant :
primadog
Att first. You can hit more often, ie more exp for other combat styles later. All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it
Hedgehog
Attack will allow you to max more often. Defence isn't that important unless you're fighting a consistently high hitting monster.
Randox
I would keep your defence within maybe 2 or 3 levels of your attack untill your def is somewhere between 75 and 80 assuming you quest. I always find that high defence and prayer are usefull things to have in unknown places and on quests. Defence is slower to train (it would be closer to strenth than strenth is to attack just for referance), but it is useful to have, and if you build up a bit of defence first than your attack training will be easier and faster (because you will be taking less damage).
