Polnar
There is a clear difference between the mage and range attacks of revenants, the range looks like a group of 3 'ice' crossbow bolts and the mage just looks like a normal wave spell as it flies towards you, so when you are at a distance you can see which attack they are using and change protection spells, much like with Jad, except they seem to alternate between them rather than being random. I would have gotten a pic or two except I had no food against the lvl 105 Orc that was attacking me..
Etta
Sounds interesting - and Gf Orc
aoe325
I believe this would only work at short range since the blow they inflict you is determined imediately when they cast it, changing protection prayer in accordance to the incoming missile would probably useless. If you're at very low range (but not melee range)you could probably pray range if they range you, then magic for the next one (They're actually so close that they have a cooldown that gives you the time to act) Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07. Polnar
Hm well I was at a distance when praying and it seemed to be working, but when away from them they definitely alternate between range and mage so you can predict it anyway. warren211
They're also like mini-Jad's in the way that they can attack you well before you see them. When I run away from them, I notce that even when they're out of my minimap, I continue to be hit by their range, which apparently is their farthest reaching spell. I also noticed that a good way to kill them is with a team. the monster keeps healing and doesn't have time for fighting back. If you can get half the team to use like d scims or powerful crossbow bolts and the other half to use dds or mage shorts (for the spec) you can easily finish him. Today, me and 3 other people went hunting for revnants. we only came out with 2 kills (an orc and a knight). The knight dropped 800 coins. The orc dropped nothing (either that, or the orc had something so valueble that whatever teammate got it didn't say what it was!) but I'm fairly certain it was nothing. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. I own. http://linkagg.com/ Not my site, but a simple, budding site that links often unheard-of websites that are amazing for usefulness and fun. Yeah, those monsters aren't really worth bringing a tea to kill right now. Hopefully their drops will be better later on.
alphakoldes
Haha, nice discoveries Polnar. Releasing a revenant "guide" in a few days, and all this info is in there. Way to ruin it! Hahah -Man, I really do love Runescape, and I'm sure if it was a real person I would of asked it to marry me by now.
SwreeTak
Thank you for the information! I haven't checked out those monsters yet, but when I do, this information will for sure come in handy \ Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
