Korla Posted May 6, 2005 Share Posted May 6, 2005 umm...I'm sorry, but game-maker is crap. maybe just use it to learn the basics of programming then step onto Java or VB as soon as possible. don't let the game-maker ruin you mind ;) VB is almost like game-maker and can be used without much previous knowledge through tutorials. now that I think of it Microsoft Visual Studio might not be free...I got it through school, but Java can be run more easily through notepad and DOS-Prompt. anyway, game-maker is good for making simple games, but nothing can beat programming and I strongly suggest you learn Java, or atleast VB instead. Guest Posted May 7, 2005 Share Posted May 7, 2005 If you wanna make a game VB should be your way to go if your new to programming and designing , Javas way to hard to step in at entry level i think . I could give you the source to a VB Game i made if you like . Just get VB and skim read the text , its pretty self explanatory ans the graphics are just photoshop pixels so its pretty easy to understand and edit parts of it.
