Pure essence is used to craft all the member's runes such as Cosmic, Nature, Chaos, Death, or Law.

It cut down on the rune ess mining bots

It is used for high leveled runes.

Rune essence was created so rune essence bots would be useless until lvl 30 mining (by then thyewould have hopefully been found).

It's the same as reg ess, and after you can mine it, you won't mine regular essence at all.

As long as you are in the members server. In free-to-play servers you still keep mining regular essences, even your mining level would be over 30.
