December 22, 200718 yr Rune essence was created so rune essence bots would be useless until lvl 30 mining (by then thyewould have hopefully been found). It's the same as reg ess, and after you can mine it, you won't mine regular essence at all.

In free-to-play servers you still keep mining regular essences, even your mining level would be over 30.
