How to get there

 

 

Its not that hard to figure out where the routes are coming from.

 

Red from karamja, blue from gloves, brown from carts etc.

 

 

 

What you will need

 

 

Spottier cape and boots of lightness for lightening our load

 

Amulet of glory to speed up the pace

 

Rune pickaxe in hand for one extra inventory space

 

Karamja Gloves 3 for handy teleporting back to mines from bank or anywhere

 

Neitiznot helm because its my lucky item :P

 

 

 

 

Chisel for cutting gems and making bolt tips

 

Rest of inventory preferably free ( maybe a slot-saver if wanted)

 

Note* the gems and cash are from a load I had just finished.

FAQ

 

You keep saying stuff about bolt tips, what do you mean?

 

Well, on a normal load, I get maybe 2 rubies and maybe a diamond. That leaves 24 unwanted gems. Instead of just banking all those I don't want, I cut them into bolt tips so they stack, to sell to the general store later.

No, not really. All the things I have talked about in this guide can be applied to the gem rocks aboveground.

Im wondering if this is very profitable. I have access to the underground rocks and no one is there ever and i was wondering how much money i would make from this

well i usually get 10+ rubies and 6+ gems each trip. I dunno exactly how much this is, but its probably at least 30k. then you get maybe 2k from bolt tips, so about 32k each run (probably more don't know uncut diamond and ruby prices).

 

 

 

I can mine about 750 gems in an hour so around 50k mining experience and crafting and fletching experience depends on the gems you get.

Personally, I hang on to the shilo gems as well. A nice easy way to buy trading sticks.

Decent guide, has every point of information you really need to know what to do. The underground mine is also a nice touch, but maybe add a bit more info on the underground mine, and a few tips on how to plan your path to each gem outcrop to maximize the time used mining gems. One other thing would be the preferred mining level to start using this method. Other than those few things, everything is pretty good.

I would post how many sapphire and up a trip makes, how long the trip is about and an approximate xp/hour for mining. You should also do this with people of varying lvls, and also if there is a level where you can one hit them like iron add that as well.

if im unlucky its maybe a second, but otherwise it is one hitted. think of it like this. if you can mine gold fast, you can mine gems fast too

9/10, very nice guide, and theres a way you can mine the gems even faster. You know how a charged glory makes getting gems more likely on normal rocks? it makes it an almost instant mine on gem rocks if you wear a charged glory, so you usually get the gem before most people who arent wearing a glory :-$
