l0l0lpur3
Get some professional advice rather than asking on here, them 20k+ desktops are all pointless, if you really need a 5k+ computer then it's best to get professional advice to decide what you REALLY need in it. I'd go as far as saying quad core cpu + possibly 8gig of ram but 4 is probably ok, + normal geforce/radeon card (quadro/firegl is pointless unless your programming apps use the extra capabilities) is plenty for 99.9% of none-professional programming (or heck even dual core+2-4 gig for 70% or so), and I assume by the fact you are asking on a runescape forum that it's not for professional programming... Dell just made a WOW computer, link. Alienware is genrally a good gaming computer, site. WOW does not require a mega-powerful computer, that laptop is for marketing stuff basically lol
Nadril
Get some professional advice rather than asking on here, them 20k+ desktops are all pointless, if you really need a 5k+ computer then it's best to get professional advice to decide what you REALLY need in it. That 20k computer was a joke, I didn't have any idea what he really wanted so I just posted it. At any rate a lot of us here know plenty enough about PC's to recommend one. I'd go as far as saying quad core cpu + possibly 8gig of ram but 4 is probably ok Better hope he's doing this work in a 64 bit OS than if you get 8 gigs. normal geforce/radeon card (quadro/firegl is pointless unless your programming apps use the extra capabilities) is plenty for 99.9% of none-professional programming (or heck even dual core+2-4 gig for 70% or so), and I assume by the fact you are asking on a runescape forum that it's not for professional programming... I still don't know what its like, but he said that this next one should have 'good' graphics so-to-speak. I recommended a machine with one of the quatros just for the 3D work. If he isn't going to be doing heavy 3D work than that is pointless though.

They're almost like putting a Ford Transit van's engine inside an F1 car :XD: Also these computers are more for actually playing the game than they are deisgning Samari Help me starting out again - Give YOUR advice! If you're collecting in game "hyt's" send me a message here or in game :D
cyco
Interesting. With my 3dsMax and Maya experience I will say that Processing power is the most important factor for rendering etc.
