Off topic: What happens if you break a bone, but you just leave it, do nothing at all, what happens?

What do you meran by just leave it? Continue using it or moving it or what? Because all people can do is immobilize it (unless it snaps, they can piece it back together) and your body repairs it itself. But if you kept using or moving it, it would hurt like a sono[bleep]un and would probably heal wrong, if it healed at all.

When I fractured the pinkie of my right hand (the bond at the first joint collapsed) I didn't know for 3 weeks till I couldn't bend my finger at the joint... got it x-rayed and it showed the fracture and the "heal" to stop it bending...

needless to say i got it broken again and imiboloised correctly to fix that problem...

I crack my ankle habitually (using a circular girating motion to get repeated, rhythmic cracks), nothing else; my knuckles or wrists crack accidentally every once in a while from quick movements, but overall, my ankles are the only things I really crack. Might stop that too though, from what I'm reading...

Although, when I was learning the kip-up, sometimes I landed hard with my knees bent as far as they could possibly go and the force made them crack. That hurt a bit afterwards too :P .

Uh, that's probably not the same thing as the whole air releasing method... maybe check up on that, 'cause I've never had my knees make any kind of cracking noise ever doing a kip-up, and I've been habitually doing them for a few years now.

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

Heh, well that was when I was still landing on my behind, so they were being bent pretty far. It would be like, I landed on my feet the right way, but the rest of my body didn't make it so I got this. . . weird. . . movement in my legs as I fell back and they popped. Probably nothing to be concerned about.

Especially since I can do them properly now :P .

sweetol5.png <- do that when you see me :P

i have a nervous habit of cracking mine, so i really hope not.

Look its rob!

I crack all my joints. :? Knuckles, neck, toes, and I haven't had anything worse than a pinched nerve in my neck, which hurt a lot for a while and I couldn't turn my head. So, it may have some minor effects, but I don't really care.

+1

ok.. so it increases the chance of getting arthritis, but it dosn't CAUSE it.

Some of my joints will crack on their own, mostly knees and ankles. I do know that the craking is from tendons and cartidge getting in the way, my joints alway become semi-locked before it happens and the craking sound comes from forcing the joints to move again. Twice one of my knees has made exceptional cracks, one of which was herd wuite clearly over 15 feet away (it also hurt), whick I suspect was partly my knee cap relocating itself (sure felt like it). I find personaly, knuckle craking disgusting (like people who constantly spit on the ground). Besides partl ydislocating joints and relocating tendons, and straining cartlidge definatly does not improve the health of a joint.

Something rather off-topic: Every so often, when I point my toes while stretching, the muscles in the bottom of my foot will tighten or seize or something. It hurts like a mother and I have to knead and massage the muscles to get them to relax. Is it a muscle spasm? And why do those happen?
